That's so sad. He was a good player and if it weren't for his injuries, he'd be a great role player today.

he was really good back in the day. oh well. with the way he is now, he's better off retired.

He was good back in the day, but hope he has a good retirement.

I really liked him when he was healthy but it was time to go.

It's funny, I never really thought about how much time he missed, yet he only played all 82 games once (his lone All-Star year) and appeared in only 611 games in 11 seasons. Still, he was a fine player and could've been a multi-time All-Star had he remained healthy.

I'm surprised it took so long for this to happen. I had expected he'd be gone before the year started.

Wow, Monster Mash was just 2 years off his best, all-star season.

I always bought his shoes as they were awesome. One of the best last names in NBA history and a good player to top it off.

He could have been useful to the squad..

Damn, it has to be great to live a life as a retired player. Millons of dollars on your bank account and ability to make all your dreams come true. Or you just lie on a beach/bitch and sniff coke. Either way, it sounds like a whole lot of fun.

Another typical case of a player in the 90's that could've done a ton of great things but injuries killed his career.

I really liked Jamal's style of play. He was a matchup nightmare and could shoot a nice fadaway jumper from almost anywhere.
