INDY vs DENVER

Thu Mar 16, 2006 12:59 pm

Did anyone see this game! It was awesome. Indy was loosing by a quite large margin but then came back and tied the game at 99. Final seconds they hand it off to Stephen Jackson, he shoots, and misses. Then with 18 seconds I believe, Andre Miller has the ball, wastes time, and passes to Melo. Melo shoots with 4 seconds left and nails it! 2.3 seconds left Indiana hands it to Peja, shoots from 3pt-line, misses!

I'm starting to like 'Melo again. Back in his rookie year, I always argued that he was the best of that class, but then both LeBron and Wade blew him out of the water, even Bosh came up on him. So I started to forget about him, but damn... I'm liking his 'clutch-ness' :D

Yeah, because in close games this year he has been SOO fantastic. :x

The shot Jack took with the game tied at 99 was pathetic, Jack should be benched in the final 30 seconds of every close game.

Melos shot was great, but Peja's miss was just a bad stroke of luck, however, seeing Peja miss that wasn't all bad, because that meant that Rick finally drew a last second play that wasn't for AJ or Jack, because those two have fucked up a lot, and I mean a LOT of close games lately.

We really played a bad game untill the fourth quarter today, and that's how our effort against bad teams has been far too often this season (I don't consider Denver a bad team, but this game followed the pattern we usually have against bad teams). Its completely unacceptable to have to come back from big deficits against bad teams, and its completely unacceptable to blow big leads against good teams by going away from running the ball, which is what got the big lead in the first place.

For some reason this reminded me of the time when Vlade had the chance to just lay it up and win the game but instead passed to Peja for the 3-pt and he got it in of the backboard. Except he missed in this one.

lol, I was watching Pega's shot and it looked real good, from all angles. It really looked like he nailed it, but a little luck for my nuggets aint bad :)
