Joe Johnson and the Hawks...

Postby EGarrett on Sat Mar 11, 2006 9:02 am

Okay, I was looking at Joe Johnson's playerfile on nba.com, wondering if he was really worth the money he's being paid (20 points, 6.5 assists per? I doubt it)

And I noticed the "action" photo...

Ummm...look at the stands. How do the Hawks stay in business?

Maybe it was a preseason game.
Yes I know that was a risk to offer alot of money to Johnson but ye.
He is doing good for this organization.
Anyways, we discussed this millions of times.

If you said this in the first month of two of the season, like every had already done, I would say 'Yeah Waste Of Money', but as of late, he has been ripping it up, so no I dont think he was a waste....

I'm not a fan of Joe Johnson after he left probably one of the best situations he had in Phoenix. Oh well, Diaw has really made strides to becoming a complete player and they're just doing fine without him.

JJ isn't doing that bad as of late. As zmac said. After the All-star break, he's actually been playing very well and leading the Hawks... maybe not to any wins, but still leading them.

I can't be stuffed calculating his stats after the break but in the last 5 games he's sitting on 27 ppg, 8 apg, 4 rpg.

The pic is from preseason, lol Hawks sell more tix than that. Johnson was better off at Phoenix, but he has not been bad at Atlanta. They need mroe than him though to make the post season.

Post All-Star they're 4-6, not anything special, but not terrible. They were 6-6 in February and beat some good teams.
