no.... by 3 time nba champion and best player in the world he'd mean tim duncan

So you feel a guy who consistantly plays big games like he has two hands around his neck is the best in the world? Thats like comparing Jordan to David Robinson, and stepping up when your team needs you in a big game is a huge part of greatness.

have you ever heard of a strawperson argument?

i think the guy with back to back mvps, 3 finals mvps, and 3 championships is incomparable to a sidekick, and to even try to do so is laughable. what faulty parallelism, admiral to mj? td to admiral is mildly debatable. mj to kobe is like prime rib to spam.

kobe is among the best individual players in the nba today, a far greater individual player than td. thankfully, i dont judge players on individualism. if that is your criteria, then your statement is right to you. congratulations.

what i like about paul is a certain unselfishness, i can't define it, but he just feels different compared to past prospect guards.

I'm guessing by Duncan being best in the World, you mean best in the league... since whenever he plays anywhere outside of the NBA, he is fairly average and spends his time whinging about the referees.

Lets not stray too far from the original purpose of this thread. It seems everywhere Kobe is mentioned the topic instantly shifts and its so pointless in so many ways because people (including myslef) are forced to present the same unoriginal arguments over and over again.

Now back to Chris Paul! :o

Wats that list?

Iverson didn't seem that selfish in his rookie season did he? I don't remember..
He might be getting Penny Hardaway all nba first team #'s? ~21-22ppg, 7assist, 2 steals

When i watched wade as a rookie, i didn't think he'll be a 27point scorer.. but Paul looks more like a real PG to me, i guses marbury like #'s would be great, 20ppg, 8 assists, 5 rebounds

Paul will be on the All-Star team next year and for years to come. Best player out of this draft class I think. He has the ability to post 23 pts, 5 rebs, and 10 asts a game. By 08-09, he and David West will be the leaders of a solid playoff team.

a lot of veteran players called him out for being selfish.
