I should be ignoring you, but...

I might be biased, but Penny played very well in the Finals, and he was just as popular (if not more) than Shaq. I bet one of the reasons for Shaq leaving Orlando, other than his desire to play for the Lakers, was stepping out of sharing the spotlight with Penny. Orlando had a good team with Grant, Nick Anderson and Dennis Scott, so they weren't just Shaq and Penny, but a young Shaq and Penny that probably could've won an eventual championship if Shaq never left (assuming Penny never got hurt).

Penny was useless without Shaq? The one injury free season he played without Snaq he pretty much averaged the same numbers he'd been getting for his whole career. That's hardly useless.

The rest of your post is a bit odd... you can't prove that any of those guys would've been better/worse with Kobe/Shaq, they're just assumptions.
