Wasington post wrote:From here, I can't see the upside for Sacramento. The Pacers, however, ought to get some immediate bounce out of this. Stojakovic had grown stale in Sacramento and turned into a one-dimensional, jump-shooting whiner who proved he needs to be the third- or fourth-most important guy on a team to be productive in any meaningful way. He has none of Artest's toughness or defensive prowess or all-court savvy. But at least he'd rather be in uniform than producing music or selling flat-screens to get the discount.

Have to read the article.

That kinda of wide open game could benefit him a lot. He could play 10x better than Q ever did.

Of course, The Suns'd have to want him and have the money to offer him a contract.

I hope he signs with the kings LOL

Artest has 5 points in 5 minutes for the Kings so far. Shooting 100%, I'm quite interested to see how he goes since he sat out for so long.

Why isn't Peja playing for the Pacers tonight?

Dunno, but the Kings are shooting 31% FG (yes, the whole team) without him, and the game is almost over.

Wow.

Artest finished with 15 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals on 5 for 14 shooting, but the Kings lost by ten. He's wearing the number 93 now.... This guy loves to switch numbers.

Heh nice try, but can't happen unless Peja signs for league minimum since Sac is over cap, or very close to it. $60M in player salaries.

That's true but they just traded away Bobby Jackson for him, if they don't plan on resigning him they lost Bobby Jackson for nothing, who's been kicking *** in Memphis.

They have nobody else who comes off the books end of this season, everybody is signed for 2 more except for a couple of scrubs.

Anyway, i doubt Walsh would just release the guy, he'd at least trade him for something.

Maybe #15's retired?

Last week in million and a half interviews the owners did, it sounded like they liked Bonzi Wells.

Kings retired numbers: 1 - Nate "Tiny" Archibald; 2 - Mitch Richmond; 6 - Fans (Sixth Man); 11 - Bob Davies;
12 - Maurice Stokes; 14 - Oscar Robertson; 27 - Jack Twyman; 44 - Sam Lacey

The owners don't really get to decide who stays and who goes. The GM does.

The owners liked Peja and Vlade too. They also liked mobley. And Christie.

I'm sure the Kings would rather have Peja than wells.

If I remember correctly, Artest also had like 91 for one year. He also wore 23 and 15. I guess he likes to have a little variety when he's wearing his jersey.
