Dude, do you know what an all-star team is? That's not a very exciting game to watch if it ever happens (the good thing is that it will never happen).

So you're picking D Miles over Grant Hill. What happened to T'Mac? I guess it's your opinion and you should stick to it.

I guess he's a Cavs fan. It doesn't really matter though because there's no way that either Davis or Miles will make the team.

i dont vote for real stars (except the ones that i like), cuz i know they are gonna make it anyway. i only vote for the players that i like to watch. i think Ricky Davis has a small chance to make the team if he keeps scoring over 20 ppg.

Vince Carter has been the leading vote getter the past few years. Do you guys think that he will retain that title this year? There's no doubt in my mind that he doesn't deserve it this year (It's debatable if he ever deserved it) however the fans seem to vote based upon name alone. This can be seen by the fans voting in Grant Hill and Alonzo Mourning when they had both barely played a couple of seasons ago. So do you guys think Carter will again receive the most votes?

Western Conference
Forwards:
Tim Duncan
Dirk Nowitzki

Guards:

Most likely Jordan and Iverson will be starting because they put ballots in stores and things like that and random people like to walk up and vote for whoever they've heard of. I don't think either deserve to start over McGrady or Jason Kidd this year though...

My votes...

East

C Ben Wallace (sure wish he was a forward so I could put Mutombo and Ben Wallace in the frontcourt)
PF Antoine Walker (winner by default )
SF Grant Hill (see Antoine Walker)
SG Tracy McGrady
PG Jason Kidd

West

C Shaq (of course)
PF Tim Duncan (of course)
SF Dirk Nowitzki (hah!)
SG Kobe Bryant (of course)
PG Gary Payton (Francis embarassed himself last year. It was between Nash and Payton and Gary is carrying the Sonics on his back so he gets the nod)

I've said this before last year... DON'T VOTE FOR STEVE FRANCIS BECAUSE HE CAN DUNK!!! In 2000, Jason Williams got more votes than Gary Payton! Last year, Francis starts and gets no PT. I don't think he's an all-star with GP and Steve Nash in the west. With that said:

WEST: Vlade Divac, Tim Duncan, Chris Webber, GARY PAYTON, and Kobe :x (I guess I have to put him in). Then off the bench, Shaq :x , Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Garnett, Steve Nash, and I guess Steve Francis. And Stojakovic and Bibby round out the 12 players. (Yes, I know Bibby hasn't played yet)

East: Elden Campbell, Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Jermaine O' Neal, Jason Kidd, and Allen Iverson. Off the bench, Theo Ratliff, Glenn Robinson, Tracy McGrady, Keith Van Horn, and Baron Davis. The other two guys are Michael Jordan and Paul Pierce.

What my teams. I chose who I like not the best players in the League. You have to let losers have a go sometimes (losers like Iverson , Man he sucks and its time other losers had a game). If you ask me East Vs West is no longer relevant. The AS would be better if it was Nth American all stars VS World Allstars like in the NHL

Postby Poollit on Fri Nov 22, 2002 10:57 am

East

c Ben Wallace---come on lats years DPOY, and also people seem to like him just because...
pf Jermaine O'neil---he's been doing quite good, better than Walker methinks.
sf Michael Jordan---yea, ya'll know, he doesn't deserve it, but Allstar starters are popularity, not how good they are currently
sg Tracy Mcgrady---he's even got me and my brother saying he's better than Kobe, Jeez..
pg It's got to be--->Jason Kidd

West
c Hmm...tough one---I think probably Shaq, even if he's a toe crying pussy, he is the best in the L
pf I think either T-Duncan, or C-Webb---i can't choose, T-Duncan has not been doing as expected this year, and C-Dubb is kinda doing alright, and he's fun to watch.
sf Kevin Garnet---he's doing quite good, and isn't overated this year.
sg Kobe---no comment
pg Nash? how do ya say Nash over Francis and Payton? Definately GP here.
