I dont think Chris Paul should get all the credit but the team is off to a suprising start. I thought they'd be bottom feeders along with the Hawks and the Raptors but they are 8-7 and are playing pretty decent considering there inexperience and roster strength.
Considering other teams such as -
Houston who have a 'strong' roster but they seem so relient of T-Mac, Yao Ming seems lost out there without him. People though the addition of Stro would mean instant success but they were almost as bad as Atlanta and Toronto without McGrady playing.
The Nuggets have disappointed many even though Karl is having problems of his own and Nene went out after a few games or was it a couple? The team should still be winning more than lossing.
Sacto and Seattle also have started off poorly although the Sonics have made a push of late but again teams with much stronger rosters than that of the Hornets are finding it hard, maybe it is the chemistry issue of it all but then again the Hornets havent been playing with each other for that long and do have there share of young ego's.
I think they do deserve some kudos for this start although Im not saying this means they can make the playoffs etc etc but if Paul, Smith and West keep improving things can only look good for the near future. PJ Brown has also played his heart out this season and is the only real NBA veteran, if this team keeps adding the right pieces they could have a much brighter future than the Hawks, Raptors, Celtics or some of the other teams that are using the 'future' strategy.

I dont think he should get COY mentions yet, theres plenty of season left and if the Clippers make the playoffs then Mike D should get it hands down.
Thanks for pointing out the Nene part.

My guess is they will go 1999-2000 Orlando Magic on us, surprising everybody with great effort play despite a perceived lack of talent, having a feel-good season and dying on the beach with the playoffs in sight. That's the typical ingredients for COY recognition, and boy would that be ironic after all the bashing Scott had...
Be it as it may, I'm Impressed

Same here...I thought they would have a record the Rapters had.

I thought they would be off to a horrible start, especially since they don't even have home court in NO.
