Alvin Williams Looking At Return

Postby BOSS on Tue Oct 18, 2005 12:08 am

Toronto Sun - Veteran point guard Alvin Williams is a very happy man these days, and not just because his beloved Philadelphia Eagles are playing well.

After missing the entire 2004-05 season because of a knee injury, Williams said yesterday that he hopes to play in the Raptors' pre-season game against the New Jersey Nets on Wednesday.

"I'm looking forward to it," said Williams, who took part in the team practice yesterday. "I'm just trying to take it day by day and hopefully everything works out."

no... hopefully the raptors will win but which i highly doubt because they lost to a team that none of the nba teams have lost to in 27 years

I hope he can play, then our third string point guard issue might be solved and we can sign someone another big man instead of getting crumbums like Tierre Brown, Pack or that streetballer idiot.

i doubt we can get any decent bigmen though, because of the cap and jr's huge ass contract. Anyone know how many years left on it?

man alvin williams pre-injury was fucking sick. i loved his duel with allen iverson in the 2001 eastern conference semi's. underrated defensive player, imo.

Ahhh yes. Pre-injury Alvin was the shit. He had the nastiest crossovers where he put it between his legs from behind and he'd be nearly leaning on the ground while owning everyone in fourth quarters.

alvin did have some nasty crossovers. man i think that was one of my favourite series EVER .. i'd say thats #3 behind sacramento vs. LA 2002 and bulls vs. pacers 1998.. allen iverson busting out 52, and 54 while VC busted out 50. it was hilarious how VC erupted for 8 or 9 three pointers one game then AI came back the next game and matched his performance
