I'll do my West rankings now:

1.) San Antonio
2.) Houston
3.) Phoenix
4.) Sacramento
5.) Dallas
6.) Denver
7.) Minnesota
8.) Golden State
9.) Memphis
10.) L.A. Lakers
11.) L.A. Clippers
12.) Utah
13.) Seattle
14.) Portland
15.) New Orleans

I actually think all the teams 1-11 have a solid chance of making the playoffs.

How can u put the Lakers at 8? Denver, Memphis, Clippers and Seattle all have a better shot. Move Portland down your list guy.

there are some things i don't agree there, but the list is very good overall... even being a heat fan, i think indy will beat us in the conf. finals, specially if artest is playing.

but i don't agree with the lakers so high in the list.

but the rest is ok, philly should be even lower, and nj really have a shot....

RIP, it doesnt matter how many games Detroit wins in the reg season, it's the playoffs that count. We've always played sub par in the reg and finished 2nd or 3rd but come playoff time we are still East's best team until beaten!

Having said that, East is looking even better this year...Pacers, Pistons and Miami have all improved...as have the Cavs significantly.

Thu Sep 08, 2005 1:18 pm

i hope the rockets can make it to 4th place...maybe even higher

Hate to see Utah at 14th spot.. :x

Fri Sep 09, 2005 1:53 am

Utah will be higher than 14

Fri Sep 09, 2005 2:13 am

With this kind of line-up + Jerry sloan,i dont think it is not included in this seasons' playoffs:

5 Carlos Boozer
31 Jarron Collins
6 Howard Eisley
10 Gordan Giricek
44 Ben Handlogten
15 Matt Harpring
43 Kris Humphries
47 Andrei Kirilenko
2 Randy Livingston
25 Keith McLeod
34 C.J. Miles
13 Mehmet Okur
00 Greg Ostertag
Milt Palacio
54 Robert Whaley
8 Deron Williams

this seasons' defensive player: ANDREI KIRILENKO!!! (Y)

The west is too deep for the Jazz to make the playoffs.

I ranked them at 12, but I wouldn't be too surprised if they ended up as high as 9.

Fri Sep 09, 2005 9:22 am

yeah AK47 is the white version of Artest for this team. They will be highter than 14th

Fri Sep 09, 2005 11:58 pm

might as well add Devin Brown to the roster.

Sat Sep 10, 2005 2:32 am

No way!!! (N)

AK47 is a "clean" player..Artest is like an UFC player..

Those rankings are wack. Chad Ford is the most overrated sports columnist ever.

What the hell are you on about? Artest may go crazy at times (when I mean at times, I mean most of the time), but his perimeter defence is most likely the best in the league. I honestly don't think you can really be a "clean" defensive player. Player's have to get right in the face of the player that their guarding and harass the shit out of them, even if it may seem "dirty", it's the type of defence I like to see.

Anyway, I'll just let Indy come in here and finish/add-on to the rest of it.

Sat Sep 10, 2005 6:08 pm

of course you can be a clean defensive player and own at it. You just need exceptional footwork.
