Of course being a Lakers fan I am going with Odom and Kwame. I think Kobe will have a much better season as long as they don't dump him the ball with 5 seconds left and expect him to hit the miracle shot every time. Amare is going to be a beast this year and I expect Joe Johnson to have an off year being the MAN in Atl now. Not sure if he is really ready for that much spotlight. Doesn't really seem like the leader type, more of a sidekick. He needs to team up with another Amare to be really good. Doesn't have the natural athleticism to go with his jumper like Kobe or McGrady to create his own shot. I also think Caron will have a great year. I think the Suns downgraded this year and won't be as effective, still might get around 50 wins though. The Heat will not be any better than last year. They should have kept their team, they had just the right pieces for the positions. This year will be a bust.

That's like saying you don't think Garnett can break out significantly more than he did when Marbury left Minnesota :P

Naw, Bosh will continue to improve, but I have to agree with you to a certain extent, that I don't really expect a "breakout" year.

im gonna say ginobili... i think he'll get a lot more playing time and maybe even become the main scorer for the spurs. the thing that he'll most improve on is his consitstency

I don't undertand this pick at all. He's not young, he's not going to get starter minutes this year, what in the world is going to make him "breakout". He already averaged 15 | 3.7 | 3.1 on year, he'd have to average like 20-4-4 for anything he does to be considered breaking out, and at 32 years old, it's a little odd

Maybe him just playing a season is a reakout season for him.

I'll bet for Kwame to have a breakout season. Phil Jackson has that tendency to bring out the potential in his players, i.e. Paxson, Hodges, Kerr, Longley, Harper, Fox, George, etc.

Maybe the "Zen master" will help sort out Kwame's insecurities and even arrange a one-on-one talk between MJ and Kwame.

Kwame: You called me a "fag".

MJ: I didn't call you a "fag," you fag.

Yea, but that wasn't a year, just a few months, next yea he should put up about: 19-20 PPG, 9-10 RPG, and 2-3 APG.

Just for the record, Darko had 9 points, 6 rebounds and 9 blocks! , 30 mins of plating time. He'll have it I say.

phil jackson had a tendency to bring out potential in players? how?

more like they all benefitted playing off of jordan or shaq

all those players you mentioned were role players who played within their game

outside of kerr developing some ball handling skills, the rest of those guys were pretty much the same player.
