The Clippers today announced that the team has renounced the rights to free agent guards Kerry Kittles and Rick Brunson.
Kittles, who missed 71 games in 2004-05 due to a degenerative disc in his lower back, averaged 6.3 points and 2.9 rebounds in 11 games.
In 80 games played for Los Angeles last season, Brunson tallied 5.5 points, 5.1 assists and 2.3 rebounds per contest.
The Clippers have signed free agent guard Cuttino Mobley to a multi-year contract, announced Vice President of Basketball Operations Elgin Baylor. Entering his eighth NBA season, Mobley brings career averages of 17.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.2 steals to Los Angeles. “Cuttino is a very tough competitor at both ends of the floor,” stated Baylor. “He shoots the ball extremely well from the perimeter, which will help our low post players. He’s a veteran who brings both playoff experience and leadership.”
