Wagner gone for season.

Dajuan Wagner tore cartilage in his right knee and is expected to miss the remainder of the season. More good news for the Cavs...

They were already tanking the season, this just makes it even easier. At least now they can say "Yeah but we haven't had Wagner for half the season so it's ok that we finished 15-67".

Rumour is that LeBron said that he wouldn't play for the Cavs, that's such a croc of shit. Since when do rookies (from HS no less) tell the nba who they will or will not play for. But i guess as LeBron would say:

"LeBron has got to do what is best for LeBron". I hate that 3rd person bullshit.

Yeah that's what i was thinking, wouldn't he want to go to Cleveland so he can still be near his family and friends. Mind you with a mother like his who needs enemies. Guess he REALLY liked coach Lucas.

I doubt he will sit out the year just so he dosen't have to play for the Cavs. He will still be this years ROY runner-up (Carmelo has it covered  ) i imagine.

In the long term LeBron might be better but i think he will struggle a fair bit in his first year like most straight-from-highschool types do but he does have the tools to be something special in the future. I also wouldn't be surprised if TJ Ford is ROTY next year if he declares for the draft, that kid is going to be something special.

Think he would have beat Amare?

Since when do rookies (from HS no less) tell the nba who they will or will not play for.

Steve Francis said he would never play for the Grizz. he got what he wanted, why not LeBron?

Kobe, also straight out of high school, directed where he wanted to play, forcing the Hornets to trade him.

Firstly Brave Sir Rubin wrote:shit...he was suposed to be the ROY this year...damn...too bad...

So i continued (because the draft IS actually this year even if the ROTY award is not given out until next year). Sorry for any confusion.

Mikael Myers wrote:this years ROY? how can losers who arn't even in the nba be "this years ROY"?

Then Clinton wrote:Think he would have beat Amare?

Obviously if i was talking about Carmelo, Lebron and TJ Ford i'm not talking about this years draft class,
obviously

Besides Amare isn't winning ROTY Yao is. He's one of the new "main men" of the nba and a main reason for the leagues increasing popularity in China, think they will jeopardize some of that popularity and big $$$ to pick Amare (even if he does deserve it).

Clinton wrote:Steve Francis said he would never play for the Grizz. he got what he wanted, why not LeBron?

And Dan wrote:Kobe, also straight out of high school, directed where he wanted to play, forcing the Hornets to trade him.

Good points, maybe we will see a similar shake down in Cleveland after this years draft.

mp3 wrote:does he have a position yet(not sexual)

I hope the Cavs wake up to themselves and realise that Wagner is never goint to be a quality point guard. They need to realise (like the Sixers did with AI) that Wagner is a shoot first, second and third kind of player who can never truly run a team. What the Cavs need to do imo is to find a big point guard (to guard the T-mac's/Kobe's of the League on D and run the point on offense) let DW play the 2 spot and move Ricky D up to the 3 spot. They should either move Darius to the bench or trade his underachieving arse.

sorry for the long post.

Obviously when I quote someone I am talking to them, not you. Obviously  . Brave Sir Rubin said Wagner was meant to be ROY. I said "Do you think he would beat out Amare". That was not directed at you. Why did you even bring up Carmelo??

Besides Amare isn't winning ROTY Yao is.

Only because of his media appeal. Not because of his stats or his play. Amare would win it no problem, if Yao wasn't a giant from China.

Amare got better stats than Yao; Butler and Gooden are near Yao numbers also, with Gooden having great possibilities to average something like 14p 9reb at the end of the season.
