Most of this is as expected, the higher the pick the better the performance, with 2 big exceptions.
The #2 pick is a statistical bust

Interesting perspective, though statistically speaking the #2 picks could probably be one place higher.

If Darko was drafted by Cleveland with the #1 pick, the Cavs GM would get fired by the #2 pick. Then Dumars would grab LeBron without using any of the 5 mins allocated to him and the Pistons would've been the champs for 2003, 2004 and 2005. While in Cleveland.. we would see Darko being a pretty good player.

You'll laugh now I'm sure but, I'm pretty convinced that Darko is on the same level as Bogut is.

I agree with Lpasso|SOR. I hate hearing Darko's a bust when he doesn't even get a chance to play..I wonder where would Bogut end up in Detroit's lineup if he and Darko switched teams...

The only thing that truly separates those two is that Bogut had the playing time in college to show his game. Darko only played minutes for his team in Serbia... So Bogut is considered the 'safer' bet by all accounts.

Bogut seems pretty agile for a guy his size, in his games he really moves around and spins and twists and extends. He might not be lightning quick but he isn't a walking billboard like a lot of 7 footers.
Darko...i'm not sure what his game his. Maybe more SF like? He seems to shoot well, can dribble.
