Do any of you guys know anything about this guy? Toronto drafted him.

I'm thinking if Scola is as good as the Spurs expect, then possibly trading Rasho to Toronto for this 6'5 point would be good.(I think Scola maybe headed that way, not sure) I like big Points like Penny and Pippen/Harper. I like Tony but to have a good point off the bench with some speed and size would help cause Beno got exposed.

1. The Raptors wouldn't want Rasho. Probably no team in the league would want him now, mostly because:

2. He has a HUGE contract, one of the few managerial errors of San Antonio in th epast 7 years. Not only that, but the trade doesn't go through, salary-wise. Toronto would have to add a 6m/year player as a filler... Not happening.

Although Babcock might just do it. I hope he does. 8-)

Oh, and if the Spurs really wanted another project PG behind Udrih, they would have drafted Roko with the 28th pick.

Yeah, I 'm aware of the raft issue and I was waiting to see if he was who they would go after but they went big but since the opportunity still exist that he can be picked up I 'm wandering if he's worth it. Toronto gave Vince away for nothing so them taking Rasho is quite possible. I think they are totally out of it and they need a center.

The odds of this happening are like 30,000 to 1.

I'm sorry, I just find it silly making up trade possibilities that are not even rumors amongst the NBA "insiders" - it's like me and my wishful thinking that maybe the Pistons will trade Elden Campbell for Andrew Bogut or something - rather pointless.

If Babcock trades Ukic for him I'll shoot myself. We got what we perfectly needed, a talented and big point guard that can play shooting guard too.

If we trade for Nesterovic, we have no guards then.

Look at our guards so far ...

I dont think that the spurs need another pg... he did alright his rookie season and i think he will improve. just because he didnt do so well in the playoffs doesnt mean the spurs need to trash him.

I posted this in another thread too, but seeing as this is the official Roko thread, contemplate on this.

"Ukic is the kind of guy who has the potential to make every single GM that passed on him look like an absolute fool. That is…if he ever comes to the NBA. Ukic is supposedly about to sign a mammoth contract ($750,000 per year net) with Barcelona, with a huge NBA buyout included. It will take well over a million dollars a year from the Raptors to be able to bring him over. The fact that, according to NBA sources, the Raptors supposedly reneged on their promise to Ukic with the #16 pick isn’t going to help matters much either when it comes time to bringing him over."

Let's just say that if Ukic signs a contract with European giants Barca, he won't be seen in Toronto, or the NBA for that matter, for at least 3 years.

nobody started a rumor but someone asked a question. Does anyone know anything about this guy is the question, I also shared why I was interested in learning about this guy. If you have any info about this guy then answer the question if you so choose but my reasoning behind asking needs no response, especially when it's being taken out of context by some. Is this guy any good at the PG spot?

Let's just say that if one of the most prestigious European teams wants to spend 750.000 bucks a year on a 19 year old PG, then you bet he's a very good player. Has 5 years of pro experience at 19 yeras of age, and is a couple dozen pounds away from being NBA-caliber.

The latest I'm hearing (overruling what DraftExpress wrote there) is that Toronto will throw Ukic first round money and pay his buyout, so he's staying. Rumors that the Raptors reneged on their promise appear to now be false.

I've never seen Ukic play before, but many had him rated close to Jack, who IMO, will be a very good pro.
