Trades, numbers: Ray Allan has 34 but Evans as well?

Mon Feb 24, 2003 10:44 pm

I want to start my season but both Ray Allan and Evans have 34...the Sonics played last night, still both have 34 as their numbers on the roster of nba.com.

But this cannot be, does somebody know which number Evans has? With what number did he play? Strangely enough Allan played with 34, as seen on a picture. I though that if a player comes to a team and his number is already taken by another player, he is given an different one.

Atlanta signed Jermaine Jackson, now two players have the same numbers.
Why aren't the team pages updated as soon as trades are done? I want to start my franchise but two players with 34 on the Sonics roster cannot be..

I assume that to mean that both players aren't on the active roster at the same time. Just change the benchwarmers number...that's all the Sonics and Hawks are going to do in real life...

I think it is just because NBA.com is not as often updated as ESPN. I had a look there and saw that Allan has 34, Evans now 30. M. Bryant (Boston) got 99...so all players have their new numbers...but NBA.com is late and some players on the roster have still their old numbers..

Mark Bryant wears num 99....Hahahahaha. Only a bum like him can get that number...As if we'll ever see the number anyway.

I'm pretty sure he was talking about the NBA, and that Gretzky has never played in the NBA.
