come to think of it dirk hasn't exploded yet...he just rack up his normal numbers.....it's the other guys in dallas that has step up....the likes of terry and stackhouse.....plus the lucky bounce of the "ball is round" theory has always gotten into dallas way.....never the less i'll be absent again tomorrow to check out the game..... nope i'll be at a friends apartments.......then we'll have a wide screen 50 inch tv.....and some gin/beer and stuff like that....it's a hell of a party if you know what i mean......but if the game starts at 5 am here then that will surely suck.........most of the time the games are aired 9 am or 10 am here in the philippines.....that's via sattelite.... (Y)

anyways i have been on the edge of my seat watching these series......its very close to call and very entertaining. :wink:

well i'm here.........i didn't finished the game though.since we are leading by 15+ with about halfway to go to the fourth.......this is for real.....houston did what every coach wanted after games with questionable calls from the officials......that is to win the game early and a blow out..... 8-)

better gear up and be ready for the final showdown in dallas.........btw congrats boston/pacers for a game 7 showdown too. (Y)

anyways what a big win it was.....near a blow out.....mike james was absulotely fantastic.....null it will be sunday here for game 7....i think the game will start 5 am.....just like every playoff games when played in dallas.(philippine time) (Y)

well seasons over for the rockets......funny thing happen yesterday.....it was sunday from our country....me and the boys were watching the game 7 at our supervisors house......everyone was a little bit frustrated since the lead was a big blow out......halfway to the third period my girl and a couple of her friends bust in wearing mavericks uniforms.......now that's a suprised :lol:

in a room filled with rocket fans she just bring her own calvary and started teasing the hell out of us..we were not that pissed durig that time just because we played so bad.....espescially the defensive side..
i cant believe my girl is also a joker......no wonder she sms me if what was the score.....then she went and grab the dirk's jersey at the nearest mall and showed up in my supervisor's apartment......goes to show how hard headed she can be......

anyways this has been a great run for the rockets....

eleminated first round game 7---it was to be a contreversial yet very entertaining playoff series with the taleted and much quicker mavericks.....

Houston Rockets Extends Jeff Van Gundy’s Contract

Houston Rockets Owner Leslie Alexander announced today that he has extended the contract of Head Coach Jeff Van Gundy by an additional year. The agreement ensures that Van Gundy will remain with the team through the end of the 2007-‘08 season. During his two seasons with the team, Van Gundy has guided the Rockets to a 96-68 record and two consecutive playoff appearances.

“When I hired Jeff two years ago, I said that wanted to bring in a championship-caliber coach,” Alexander said. “Jeff has done a great job for us over the past two seasons and I wanted to reward him for his hard work and dedication. Jeff has a unique ability to get the best out of his players and I believe he has our team poised on the verge of returning to our championship form.”

Van Gundy joined the Rockets as the 10th head coach in team history on June 11, 2003. His two-year winning percentage of .585 stands as the highest of any coach in franchise history. Van Gundy, who has posted nine consecutive winning records as an NBA head coach with the New York Knicks and Houston, holds a 344-240 career coaching mark which ranks fifth among active coaches and tied for 15th in league history.

“I am very appreciative to Mr. Alexander for displaying this type of faith and confidence in the job we are doing here,” Van Gundy said. “When I arrived in Houston nearly two years ago the goal was to return this team back to championship form. While we’re not there yet, I think we have made some significant progress over the course of the last two seasons and it’s nice to know that our owner feels the same way. As a coach, the chance to compete for a championship starts with a commitment to winning from ownership and I’m very thankful that Leslie has been very supportive of me and my staff.”

this is good news for rocket fans......we all have grown a liking to the man.....hope next year's playoffs will bring us more deeper to the playoffs......but who knows....

another news i have heard is YAO is still forced to play for CHINA this coming months......no rest still for the BIG GUY
