Suns dismantle Sixers, Nash has triple double

Postby fgrep15 on Thu Mar 31, 2005 3:48 pm

Nash had a triple double with 12 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 assists, as the Suns spanked the Sixers today. The Suns were missing Amare, but everyone else stepped up, and filled in for him, well except for the guy in his place Steven Hunter who had 5 points and 3 rebounds in 30 minutes

He did have 5 blocks though...

He was two assists away from getting the triple double by the end of the first half and ended up getting it in the third quarter. I didn't notice him grabbing so many rebounds until they mentioned it. It was a really effortless triple double, a very impressive outing for Nash.

You are right, Knicks have more chance in the lottery than in the playoff :proud:

Not exactly - he now holds the record for the most threes made and attempted in a single season in Suns history. Majerle hit a lot more than 199 threes during his tenure with Phoenix.

Yup, Kevin Johnson (of the Suns, coincidentially) back in the 90's got a triple double in the first half. Chris Webber almost pulled one off in the playoffs last year or the year before.

I wonder if a double triple double ever happened before... (i.e. 20 pts, 20 rebounds, 20 assists). I wouldn't be surprised if Wilt pulled that off.

20-20 games were commonplace for Wilt, but I'm not sure he ever registered 20 assists in a game.
