I'm still waiting for a player to make 1000 FG. I think the last player to accomplish that was Michael Jordan in 89-90 making 1034 from the field (He did it 3 times throughout his career)

Allen Iverson hasn't been able to achieve such thing because of his low FG%, Shaq was closed in 99-00 hitting 956 & 29.7 ppg

You need these in order to make 1000 FG
- Attempt lots of shots
-High FG
-Endurance

And just for fun Wilt Chamberlain made 1597 from the field the season he averaged over 50 ppg

So who will be the next one to make 1000 FG?

Nah... any high scoring player who gets the bulk of their points from the field can get to this feat. But my money is on Kobe or LeBron James for next season.... Or Yao Ming in 4 years!

Kobe and AI seem the most likely candidates, but they'll need to shoot a much higher percentage from the field.

allen iverson might do it he came close in 02-03. he was 804-1,940 that year.

I don't think Iverson will get it, he's already had his chances, he's just not a high enough percentage shooter. Lebron, Amare and maybe even Wade have a good chance, as they're guys that can score a lot, and at a high percentage.
