NBA Slam Dunk Contest

They're using that winner's bracket format again though, so chances are it will be J-Rich vs Mason and Amare vs RJ in the first round, with the winner of the J-Rich/Mason matchup being the eventual winner.

Is anyone here interested in seeing a third year of Desmond Mason? I'm not...

I saw Jefferson warming up on the preview show today and...well... :shock:...he looked pretty damn good. He did a leaning windmill that was smooth and had serious hangtime. I've already given my girlfriend instructions to get me a Jefferson jersey if he wins the dunk contest and a Kidd if he embarrases himself. Let's go Rich...represent the Garden State...

Just 4 players competing? I just hate the new formats, couldn't they get more competition to the court?

Not as long as they insist on the winner's bracket format, else it would probably take too long. With all the additional events added to the All-Star Saturday lineup, we probably won't ever see the dunk contest return to the classic format.
