I don't know what all of you think, but in my opinion Iverson only did 60 points to find himself first in the 2004-05 records book for most points. He just couldn't bear that J. O'Neal topped him by only one point (55) to have the season best. But anyway, 60 points are really impressive!

Damon is more like 5'9'' or 5'10''
Unless he had one of those early-thirties growth spurts that are so common.
I watched the last couple minutes of that game and was pylling for Ivey to get it.

lots of guys could score 60 if they took 36 friggin shots.
He's a PG though. Someone like Shaq would be expected to shoot that good. It's harder for guys Iversons size because the quality shots they get aren't going to be as good.
On NBA Fastbreak they showed his shot display and he hit from everywhere on the court. And 47's a good shooting percentage for a PG,

you know i think VC had a chance at 60 if it wasn't for bowen.
Mon Feb 14, 2005 4:55 am
^Yea, he probably did, he should've ignored the Bowen attack if that's possible..

Well, he had 43 entering the 4th, so he would need another 17 to get 60, so I doubt the Spurs would allow that much in crunch time, since they're one of the best defensive team in the league.

Looks like anoither lengthy debate comming up Fgrep. If Iverson isnt a top 20 player in your opinion, who would put ahead of him?
Mon Feb 14, 2005 9:31 am
What are you talking about? I said that what people started saying after he got injured, look at the Top 50 list and see where I ranked him
What, do you think Chris Webber can't play anymore, and Grant Hill is just a role player too
It's funny though that many said he wasn't a top 20 player anymore, I know I felt he wasn't a top 10 player anymore after last season, but he's defintely making a case for himself.
Injuries sure can do a lot of things:
Iverson not a top 20 player anymore
Grant Hill will be at most a role player coming back [though his was more justified]
Webber won't be able to produce anymore
Jason Kidd won't be able to maintain the high level and be able to carry a team
.... I guess it's Jamal "I'm basically retired" Mashburn's turn to show everyone
Please read this again, thanks...

My apologies, I definately misread that. I agree with what your saying now that i have read it properly, people get an idea about a player, and they hold onto that theory for as long as they can. Its not just limited to injuries, heres a few:
Barkley didnt work hard
Jordan was a bad teamate
Patrick Ewing never hit big shots
Karl Malone was a choker

^
S'all good, Vince was also supposed to never average 25+ PPG again.
Tue Feb 15, 2005 4:25 am
