Grizzlies = Suns worst nightmare...

or is Q-Rich just the Suns achilles heel....

The Grizzlies beat the Suns again [even with Gasol and Posey out], it seems like they're such a great matchup for them, they can run with them, they have Stromile Swift who's like their own personal Amare [athletically], and he matches up well with Amare, they have the outside shooters. Though their conterparts aren't as good, they have tons more depth.

Nash also got T'd out when they were down 10 with 2-3 minutes left, and they just kinda stayed at that same deficit.
It's either all that, or it's just the fact that Q-Rich's three point chucking hurts the team.

Q-Rich's line today 5-16, 4-14 three's

Last time vs Grizzlies - 6-21, 2-10 three's, both teams shot terrible in that game though.

vs Pistons - 3-14, 1-9 three's

In three of their now 7 losses, he's made 0 shots, 0-7 vs Sac, 0-7 vs SAS [doesn't really count since it's San Antonio but meh..], and 0-11 vs Indiana

I rejoiced when I found out the Clippers didn't sign him, but felt for Marion and the Suns who would have to deal with him on their team :lol:

damn shooting 10+ 3's a game is too much, he needs to cut it out. It was too much when they were winning, but now that they losing it's starting to be a problem

In 5 of their 7 losses, he's either made 0 shots, or taking a lot of shots and an extreme amount of three's, while making about only 20-30%.

I agree. It's easy to live with 14 attempts if 8 or 9 of them go in or if the team is blowing out opponents, but it becomes an issue when the shots aren't falling and the team isn't winning. However, it should be noted that while he's been trigger happy from downtown all season, he wasn't the only one putting a lot of attempts against Memphis: Marion was 0/5 and Joe Johnson made 5/11.

Old JJ was also 1-6 FG, and 1-4 3PT, and Nash was only 3-8 from the field, young JJ and Amare are the only ones that shot well, but the Grizzlies interior athletism was able to matchup with Amare, and keep him relatively in check.

Also: Can Dahntay Jones shoot three's now? In NBA Live I gave him a 65 because I heard he had improved, but this season he's shooting 34.2% [only 13-38 though], and he was 4-4 last night. He's only made 13, but his minutes don't permit hit to make or take many more.

dahntay jones shooting period has went up ALOT from last year because last season he was nothing but a defensive type player. he is like a bruce bowen type of 3 point shooter. he stands in the corner and he knocks them down from there. he hit 3 of his 3's in the corner last night. he has also became a better slasher type of player because he is so athletic that when he gets in to the lane, he can leap real high and draw the foul.
