Indiana destroy Phoenix!!!

Sat Jan 15, 2005 12:47 pm

101-83!!! O'Neal 29 points! 6 blocks! Reggie Miller 6 points!!! (had to add that in :D )

Steve Nash left the game with a bruised left thigh in the second quarter and the Suns struggled offensively in Friday's 101-83 loss in Indiana. Amaré Stoudemire paced Phoenix with 26 points and 11 rebounds. The Suns road trip continues on Saturday when they head to Washington.

I guess phoenix is mortal after all..

Sat Jan 15, 2005 12:53 pm

even thy gods do stumble....

Sat Jan 15, 2005 1:09 pm

2 losses in a row, and if Nash is out for a little will be good to see how Phoenix play without him.

Sat Jan 15, 2005 1:26 pm

Q-Rich went 0-11 in the game, took 8 three's (Y)

Sat Jan 15, 2005 1:35 pm

i stick to my guns

the pacers will win the east

Sat Jan 15, 2005 1:42 pm

are you out of your mind?

i would say no nash = no artest then its even.

and nash got injured in what, the third quarter? they were kicking their ass anyways.

Sat Jan 15, 2005 2:16 pm

How long will Nash be out?

Sat Jan 15, 2005 2:20 pm

Nash is wat runs the whole suns offense. You saw what happens when you chop the head off the body....Quentin jacks up 8 threes is what happens. :?

Nash left the game in the 2nd quater.

Sat Jan 15, 2005 3:02 pm

Nash had 11 in 11 minutes... the SUns lost without him, even JO said that!

Sat Jan 15, 2005 3:09 pm

ok ok maybe your right, i didnt have a chance to read the postgame quotes yet.

i still think they will be the best team in the east soon

You base your opinion on what the player say?

Sat Jan 15, 2005 9:40 pm

it no matter- "Q" shoots like 20 three pters a game anyway (N)

Sat Jan 15, 2005 11:47 pm

The Pacers will prevail (Y)

Sun Jan 16, 2005 12:50 am

with Nash Phoenix destroy pacers, w/o Nash Phoenix get whooped!!

I say Pistons win East!!!

Sun Jan 16, 2005 2:01 am

Yeah, as a Pistons fan I hope Nash is still injured for Monday's game ;)

But of course as a basketball fan, I hope he's back to 100% and the Pistons can hopefully show the league what they're made of by dominating the Suns with their real starters :P

Sun Jan 16, 2005 3:00 am

I guess we've caught the Suns at the right time....mind you the schedule is kid of hectic now.....12 games in 19 days

Nash left the game in the 2nd quater.

Q jacks up 17 three's when Nash is playing, and not Nash being out makes him only jack up 8 three's, wouldn't that be a good thing?

Look at it this way, the Suns have no other playmakers. When Nash is out JJ plays PG, JJ and Barbosa would both be considered above average passers at SG, not even good, just above average.

An above average passer/playmaker at SG is a bad passer at PG. Barbosa can't bring the ball up against pressure, and isn't a playmaker, though he's much better than Nash defensively, offensively he's not even as good as Milt Palacio in terms of Pg duties.

Why do you think the Suns didn't win last season?

1) The Suns had no PG after Marbury left
2) Amare missed 27 games last season
3) The Suns weren't really playing to win after a while, they were already talking about the draft
4) They had above average SG's playmakers running their offense

What's the difference this season?

1) Amare has continued to improve this year, he's moved up to being average defnesively and has fine tuned his offense and shooting, so he's better all-around
2) The Suns have an actual PG with Nash, and a good one too
3) The Suns got Quentin Richardson

The Suns have players who can create their own shots, but not guys who can consistently create for other players on the team. They needed to invest in a veteran PG, or should've gotten someone who can be a playmaker.

Look at the difference Marko Jaric playing more like a PG has done for the Clippers, Luke Ridnour on the Sonics, Kirk Hinrich, TJ Ford on the Bucks, Brevin Knight on the Bobcats. No playmaker, at least an average to good one and you team will not be able to do too much.

no i base what the players say based off what the players say...

thats what i said.

i also base when nash comes out of the game by when they say nash came out of the game...

The Wizards comes back from behind and beat the Suns!! Juan Dixon gets 26 points coming off the bench.

Sun Jan 16, 2005 5:52 pm

Did you watch the game refuze? Juan was just clutch, I mean it was amazing, jumpshots, layups, free throws, steals, the guy won that game for the Wizards tonight.

The Suns had no playmaker down the stretch, they just kept going to JJ to score basically, even if Nash comes back they need to look into getting a playmaking backup PG.
