I read about a huge LeBron dunk this morning where he got his shoulder over the ring or something. Anyways, was wondering if anyone would know where i could download or have a look at this dunk?

It was the one vs. Charlotte. He jumped of of one foot from about the block and his chest was at the rim and his hand with the ball was at the backboard.

well, it is a pretty damn good dunk

holy shit.
i'm bad with perspective....there's gotta be some sort of perspective issue here---he couldn't have been that high (refering to the arrows in what he just posted)..could he?

It's not that high, the different perspective just makes it look high. Lebron's neck is about the same level as the rim, the distance from which Lebron jumped, before stepping on to the key, also contributed in making it look 'spectacular'. I've seen higher from VC.
Good dunk though.

If you're talking about perspectives... he porbably even was higher than the arrows suggest. Look at where the came must've been, you can look into the rim so it higher than the basket (and than LeBron).

Look at where the came must've been
the distance from which Lebron jumped, before stepping on to the key, also contributed in making it look 'spectacular'
or because where he jumped from
makes it look high
if you want to 'verify' the perspective, imagine a staight line in the middle of the pic that is perpendicular with two more lines below that have an angle of 30 degrees and then you'll see the height of both objects a)Lebron and b) the rim.
The height of the ball is probably a little above the level of the paddings in the metal of the backboard.

If I had to guess I would say the rim is at the middle of his neck.
Mon Nov 29, 2004 12:12 pm
no way. Its just the angle trust me. The rim is no lower than his eye brows on the dunk. It can be deceiving by the angle sometimes. Ive seen dunks where the same angle was preformed and it looks like they are the same height.

It's not the angle. Pretend to bend the camera view down. Then he would go up. It's because you are looking into the top of the rim from that view. If you were looking through the bottom of the rim, then he wouldn't be as high as it looks. He's actually higher than it looks, trust me. If you read that article in Slam you'd know that he can get that high.
