Pacers steal one

Postby Ruff Ryder on Thu Nov 25, 2004 1:09 am

The pacers with their 8 man roster, practically 7 since Edwards played 2 minutes, beat the sorry ass celtics. Tinsley had a big game, but even more suprising was James Jones, with 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Box Score

Couldn't help but post this, since I saw it on ESPN.

James Jones said he wasn't surprised that he scored more points than Paul Pierce because...
James Jones after the game wrote:...I play the videogame NBA Live all the time, and I routinely score 40+ points all the time against the leagues best defender, Ron Artest.

Of course these guys play live.
Their life is actually training, game , training, game, training, game, training, flight, game...on and on and on...
Other things are playing live while hanging out with some friends.
It's not like they are going to read a book or whatever.

i don't see how they "stole" this game. it was their first game at home since the big incident. they played well, using this whole debacle as a rallying cry for their team

We just have more heart period. Nobody is playing harder than those guys out on the floor the last 3 games. We really should have won that game vs Orlando but it slipped away at the end cause the 6 guys were fatigued. Hard to believe we lose by 1 shot to the magic, beat the celts by 10 and now we beat the Twolves fairly easily, score looks closer than it actually was. If we play .500 or better basketball untill Jermaine gets back thats all Pacers are asking. But if they want too keep winning im fine with that.

this proves that heart means more than a roster of big-name players.

another prime example: pistons/lakers finals series

Three things won the game according to the game report:

A) Teamwork
B) 3pt shooting
C) Gutsy PG

Awesome.. lets see how far they can go!
