I'd say the scepticism was understandable. There's always a risk in paying big money for young free agents based on potential they may never live up to. It could've turned out badly, or at least been disappointingly underwhelming. Talk about ending up with the best case scenario, though!

I have "What if..." in my mind. The Knicks could have come far with Randle, Robinson, Bojanovic...but losing more and more players up to Brunson's injury was fatal. The Pacers were too fast, and the 67% shooting performance was insane.

I especially enjoyed Divicenzo's threes and defense...and Hart's rebounding although he is rather short for a power forward. Charles Barkley vibes.

The playoffs are over now, but I bought a Knicks ball, a shirt and a jersey with a custom number and my name on it. :D Maybe the Knicks will sign me one day...aged 44 and old and slow. :D

Man, how do you like the Knicks now? :D

Wow, I always wanted Bridges, but I never thought they'd be able to get him. Plus, we were able to re-sign OG....sweet!

It sucks we'll probably lose I-Hart. I love his grit, but you can't pay everybody.

I keep hearing Mitchell Robinson is on the trading block. He's always hurt, and is a liability on offense.

Great moves. Knicks fans deserve it after enduring the worst of Isiah et al.

As much as I love the knicks moves this off season I hate the way the media now pushes the narrative that Randle has to be moved without playing a single minute with this new group

Unless the Knicks can find someone who'll give us the same production, I say keep Randle. But he has to understand this is Jalen Brunson's team and must defer to him.

Potential backup centers for the Knicks;

Yeah I totally agree mate here that Randle has to buy in and people forget that he was injured the year before and took about 10 games to get back to his best but after that before the shoulder injury he was really cooking in the flow of the offence with JB and OG and I'd love to get back to that.

In regards to the backup centre I really like the idea of Robert Williams, he's always been a strong rim protector and could be available for less, the knicks just signed Landry Shammet to a one year deal, I like him but I think maybe signing another big might of been a better option as I just don't see Simms being the answer playing a 10th man role with this team

Who do you have making the final roster spot out of Landry, Morris and Chuma Okeke?

Is it time for the Knicks to look to trade Mitchell Robinson?

Even when healthy he struggles with foul trouble but that being said when healthy he brings so much defensively so iam kind of on the fence here

It's a moot point now that the Knicks have KAT. Shocking trade. Hate breaking up the Villanova Four and I liked Randle. Does this deal make NY a serious threat to Boston?

Iam also in shock Jeff, I really wish the knicks had given this roster a chance before pulling the trigger and like you said breaking up the Nova knicks before a minute played.

I think in terms of stats the knicks lost with what Donte and Randle brought to the table as Minny gets pretty much the same as they gave us in KAT for Randle but they also Donte who can very well be this seasons 6th man of the year too.

On the flip side KAT does move the ball more, not necessarily high assist numbers but better movement and possessions on offense plus spacing and in theory a lineup of KAT-OG-Hart-Bridges-Brunson is pretty versatile on both sides of the ball.

Iam on the fence about this one

Co-sign on everything you said. I'm on the fence too.

I think with the knicks trading 4 players 4 players in Randle, Donte, Jefferies and Diop I think at least 2 of the camp invites we have plus I think a shock free agent signing like Fultz or a trade is coming before the start of the season

The knicks have waived Marcus Morris and Chuma Okeke, could Landry Shamet make the opening night roster and try fill the role left by Donte?

They are pretty big shoes to fill and of course some of Dontes minutes would of being taken up the arrival of Bridges which reports are saying he wasn't a fan of the thought of reduced minutes after a breakout season for the knicks and you can't blame him there really, personally I think with how well McBride played down the stretch I feel Thibs will play him on Dontes roll now, naturally it's easier to play him less than what Dante would of wanted but do you think he can have the same type of impact as he did to add depth to this current roster

A very scrappy win but il take it,must say how impressed with Kolec, Payne and Shammet tonight.

The bench played most of the game which was to be expected but I feel the starters definitely need some more games together as chemistry (I know its game one of preseason) wasn't the best and they seemed a little lost on offence

I like Shamet. He could be very useful giving NY a spark off the bench. Hope he's a keeper.

I do too I'd be very surprised if we let him go now he's had one great game and one ok so far through preseason the player I love is rookie Tyler kolek, I think him, Cam, mcBride and Shamert make a solid rotation off the bench.

I wonder why we haven't seen the French kid yet so far through preseason, I've not heard any injury report about him

Iam gutted about Landrys injury, not sure how long he's going to out for but this may mean despite how well he's played he might now not get signed to a full contract, if not then I could see TJ Warren getting signed

It's a shame that Landry got injuried and waived, he was a lock to make the opening night roster

The Westchester Knicks drafted Landry Shamert and Matt Ryan with hopes of bringing them both on to the knicks at a later date.

Iam really disappointed with the knicks start to the season, sure they played 3 playoff teams to start the season but the only one we should of lost to were the champs The Boston Celtics.

Watching the Cavs loss there is no reason why KAT only shoots the ball 7 times just shouldn't happen despite the foul trouble the offence should center around him, Brunson and Bridges, OG gets his own off hustle plays but with KAT not being very active and Precious Achiuwa out injured we can't rely on players like Sims to come in and do what the others do that's not his game.

The Knicks homepage has been broken for quite some time. I even contacted them on Facebook with no reply. My desktop is 1920x1080...the font is small and hard to read. Other teams' homepages work well.

I personally use espn as I've found the official knicks site to be slow to update things in the past
