2020 Playoffs: Lakers vs. Cli- Nuggets?!

After forty nine seasons of not making the conference finals, the Clippers got the reigning finals MVP in Kawhi Leonard, a two-way all-star in Paul George, last year's sixth man of the year, this year's sixth man of the year, an array of talented role players, a championship coach and a 3-1 lead in the second round. All they had to do was not be the Clippers.

It's hard not to pick on the Clippers, or to pick on Doc Rivers for blowing his third 3-1 lead (no coach has blown more than one) or to laugh about Pandemic P. But this thread isn't about that. It's about the Lakers vs. the Nuggets. The Nuggets barely got past a shorthanded Jazz team, before going down 3-1 to a heavily favored Clippers team and pulling off one of the great upsets in NBA history. And so while I do have the Lakers in 5, I suppose it would be unwise to count out a team who has made so many comebacks these playoffs.

As far as actual analysis goes... I mean Nikola Jokic won't as easy of a time against Anthony Davis as he did against Zubac, and LeBron probably won't let them choke. Lakers would really like to have Avery Bradley but playoff Rondo should probably do as well as Pat Beverley did...

I'd love to see the Nuggets pull off the upset, but I'm taking the Lakers in 6.

I predicted Nuggets in 7 somehow vs the Clippers. Lakers will follow the same tradition of these playoffs by losing the first game then adjusting and winning 4 straight. Lakers in 5.

If Lakers do drop game 1 and win the next three, does the winner of game 5 take the series then?

If the Lakers get three straight wins in that scenario, I can see them taking the fourth to finish it in five.

Of course I'm pulling for my Nuggets but it's gonna be a tough road. Loving the gritty play throughout the playoffs. Never give up and dig in nugs!

Lakers are hot and should easily stomp on Murray like they did on Lillard and Harden.

It wasn't an easy Game 1 for the Lakers, despite the score. The Nuggets would not go away much like they did with the Clippers but I have a feeling they had a talk to not fall to the same fate. Murray could not miss, but the Lakers played great defense especially on Jokic and capitalized on turnovers well

Lakers like the slow paced games and like to utilize their big men which they got plenty in quality. This works in favour against the Nuggets. Sure there was a scare in game 1 but is a forecast on the rest of the series how the Lakers will stomp the Nuggets.

Meh. This outcome was decided when Clippers' lost. What's funny is that so many media and people were crying the Lakers were in trouble when they were leading 2-1.

Game 2 was most competitive mostly because Lakers fuck up and not because of Nuggets greatness. I can't believe they saw it the other way and hyped it up. Good bye now.
