Thibs basically out to murder Rose. Waiting for the Noah buy out so he can join there too. Deng was available too for what it's worth.

Only guy who isn't facing end of career is Gibson out of Deng/Noah/Rose.

where my homie NovU at? DWade retiring a Heat (Y)

these trades basically don't change the outcome of the season. if they somehow had brought DeAndre over then it would have been something to look forward to. glad to be rid of crowder & shumpert. will miss frye and wade. if isaiah was the cancer in the locker room then glad to be rid of him as well. and nothing but sadness for our 2011 MVP

haha that's assuming Rose isn't "using the bathroom" during the game

too bad the bulls wont buyout Asik. that would be a Thibs pickup for sure

i agree the Cavs did well. They kept the brooklyn pick and were still able to upgrade a few positions. for a team that was considered as having no assets outside of james, their GM did a great job.

making it all fit together and payroll issues.. now those 2 are another story

Wade's jaw growth from his first years in Miami to now is insane. Steroids usually have that side affect right? The jaw is so pronounced now.

I noticed that too. Steroids indeed I heard does have that effect although aging and getting fat obviously do add to it. I wouldn't be surprised if he was on roids, I hear all athletes at all levels do it since high school these days as history tells us, Lance Armstrong, Marion Jones, Ben Johnson, Sosa, Mcguire, etc did.

I actually find the giant headbands more annoying than the jaw growth.

That's kind of unrelated, I didn't mean his jaw was annoying. But good to know none the less.

It's definitely telling this is a whole new era that kids like Clarkson/Osman are more than capable to replace Wade for a contender.

I could relate to Wade. My kneecap feels like it would move out of place after playing basketball these days. Getting up after sitting on the floor has been giving me pains as well, my kneecap would feel clunky like it would pop out, I would straighten legs out and massage a bit to make soreness disappear. I am definitely feeling aging these days.

better retire from the rec league, old man

strange Wade left his buddy and the chance to compete in the playoffs to go back and mess up the playing rotation in Miami.

Cleveland is no Miami. His wife must be more than happy to be back in the 305. He's won it all, financially got paid one last time by the Bulls and can be adored by the Miami fans in the twilight of his career. Makes sense.

The amount of players Cavs sent/received must be a trade deadline record by a large margin. You would think the new players would take some time to adjust but they owned Celtics so maybe not so much. Then again, It and Crowder really seemed to be a poor fit.

That Cavs-Lakers trade got me wondering if the Lakers could have used the 1st they got to move Deng's contract and create extra cap. I read somewhere Pacers were looking to move AL Jefferson for a larger negative contract and a pick.

Little-known fact is that this was actually identical to the Cavs' 2008 deadline: Shannon Brown, Drew Gooden, Larry Hughes, Cedric Simmons, Donyell Marshall and Ira Newble were all shipped out for Joe Smith, Ben Wallace, Wally Szczerbiak and Delonte West... 10 years... weird!

Good stuff!

Maybe, that is why Cavs didn't want to take Papagiannis, Kings wanted to include him in the trade so they wouldn't have to cut him but they got denied. It is pretty funny considering they probably got the worst cut of that deal by a large margin.

sneaky Cavs trading even less in Lakers deal:
Lakers forward Channing Frye has undergone an appendectomy.

The team announced Saturday that its new acquisition had the laparoscopic procedure Friday night in Cleveland.
