it's in the unwritten international sign book. Oh yeah...it's been a rule for decades.

Interestingly enough being Australian would make me "international" to an American, and I've never seen anyone hop in a fight... maybe it's just the gangsta wannabe thing to do.

Well, it's not international but it's not really hop as it is a bounce. Like he is getting ready to fuse all of his energy into one punch but he realizes that's not the best thing to do. So he doesn't.

i dont see how anyone can say that a player of kg's caliber should have fought a player like peeler. i dont see how anyone can say that anyplayer should fight during the playoffs. if kg fights and gets suspended the wolves are going home early, so what you say makes no sense. infact him not fighting shows alot more than him fighting. it actually shows he is growing up and starting to be a man, not just another punk, which the nba has far to many of.

it doesn't hurt the team.

Team>KG. There is no KG without the team. It's all about the team. Come playoff time you've worked so hard you don't throw it all away because some punk Peeler wants a piece of you.

So what has Rickert been doing this past year?

I was hoping he'd make Wolves and that would mean hes played in high scool, college and NBA in Minnesota... doesn't look like it will happen!

Rickert was in the Europe and he came back. It looks like the wolves will bring him to training camp. He has a good shot at making the team but its up to glen taylor and kevin mchale if they can afford to have another player try to learn and grow on the bench (ndudi ebi) or if they need help right now to win a title.

Ebi and Rickert would both be awesome... but yes- they will have to stay on the bench and learn the game. However- the Wolve's priority is a championship.

I don't think there is any heat between them. It was just in the heat of the moment. KG has already said he is sorry and he just lost his temper. I don't think KG would say I don't want him on the team to McHale.

Wolves really need a 3rd string point guard (I prefer a vet that can back up sam or hudson if one of them goes down but is willing to take a lesser role to be on a contender) because of the health of Cassell and Hudson.

Rickert has a history of being a trash talker and a dirty player. Doesn't surprise me that the punch wasn't out of the blue.

I have no idea why you guys are getting on KG for not fighting Peeler. He did the smart thing and kept his cool for enough time to get some coaches/refs between them. It would be even stupider if he went back at Peeler. There's retaliation next year, but the chances of there being another game 7 when your team needs you so much?

That's exactly what I was going to say. I'll give you a good example of retaliation:

When Rebraca played for the Pistons and the Pistons were playing the Kings. Brad Miller jumed for a rebound and as he was going down accidentally hit Rebraca in the face. Rebraca then threw a punch at Miller but despite taking a hard hit to the face Miller fixed his headband and walked away.
After Rebraca got thrown out of the game Miller went on a hot streak going 7-8 from the field and going crazy and pumping up the entire crowd. The Kings went on to win that game 112-98 with Miller scoring 23 points and grabbing 13 boards. Now if Miller hit Rebraca the Kings would have had to go to Darius Songaila and Jabari Smith for the rest of the game which would probably end up costing the Kings the game.

Now if KG retaliated the Kings would have lost an aging bench player while the Timberwolves lose their leader and the MVP. This would have caused the T'wolves to probably lose the series and Peeler would be going into the next round a happy man. But it was the other way around, and now Peeler is at home crying that he will be a bench warmer for the Wizards when he could have been an important bench player for the Kings.
