Olympics on TV

Im very frustrated that i can't see all the games of these olympics. Here in France they mostly show only sports where france is playing or has a chance at having a medal. They talk WAY too much saying the same things over and over and we don't get to see much basketball. Not to mention when there is it's only part of the games and the commentators suck and are pro-european for basketball...

Do you get to see a lot of games in your countries and are the commentators ok?

We're reasonably lucky in Australia because A) it's a sports obsessed country and B) we're sorta good at everything. So if there's an Australian participant the media tends to assume they can win a medal of some sort thus we get a pretty wide variety of sports coverage during the Olympics. The commentators are awful though.

Here in Chile, the channels show mostly gymnastics and swimming competitions. But the last days, all the country has been focused on Tennis. We got a bronze, and our first gold medal :D in the history yesterday, in men's doubles, and today we could get another one  , in men's singles.
Edit 1: Nicolas Massu is tired  . He can't keep playing... :( , shit, I'm so sad  .
Edit 2: He won! He won! OMG! LOL!!!!1!11!!!!ONES!!!! Holy shit! I'm so happy I almost cried :D ! Damn! He won! He won!
*jumps for like half an hour and then falls unconscious*
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Here in U.S., it's virtually nothing but swimming, gymnastics, and more swimming. They show some volleyball too, but that's pretty much it. The swimming and the 6on6 volleyball I can get into, but the gymnastics isn't interesting to me.. They finally showed ONE bball game, (lithuania), but the problem was I was on my computer, and I went to NBA.com and saw that USA lost to lithuania in a thriller,, then 2 seconds later my dad says "they're gonna show team usa play lithuania" and I was thinking "OMG NOO"

Speaking of the Olympics on TV, if I never hear the name "Jana Pitman" for the rest of my life, it'll be too soon! Swimming also, is gay, "Thorpy" and the rest of the team are a bunch of weeping girls.

The Basketball commentary: Continously getting the names of players wrong, misunderstanding calls and so on. Andrew Gaze went on a rant about how the media gave team USA a hard time after the 2002 World Championships, and how George Karl in particular got the raw end of the deal, but during the whole rant he referred to George Karl as Karl Malone! Bring on Steve Carfino or even some lame-ass like Rodney-O, at least they're American and probably keep up with, and know their shit. Drewy knows a bit about European ball, add a guy who knows the NBA well and it would be alright.

To be fair we have had a bit of basketball coverage. I think the only country which wasn't shown was Serbia & Monte... But otherwise as dodgy as some stuff has been, at least we've seen some games, and some to come...

The US - Lithuania (both of them) were live on TSN up here in Canada. I never saw any basketball on NBC.

Here in the US we have three channels broadcasting the Olympics -- NBC, which shows most of the major/most watched sports; Bravo, and CNBC. Out of those stations, I've seen a large amount of sports -- from badmitton to table tennis.
