No, you're right.
And Shaq was enthusiastic about Wade. Now, he wants J.WIll??
Uhm....

Anyways, Wade can play SG, but I like him more at PG, so there's no need to get J.Will.

Tue Aug 24, 2004 5:38 pm

If J Will goes to Miami...and so does Posey.... (Which wont happen)

C: Shaq
PF: Haslem
SF: Posey
SG: Wade
PG: Williams

Pretty good but wont happen!

well, wade has a potential to become a next unselfish iverson he if's converted to SG.

I think Dickerson's contract is off the cap now that he's retired over 2 years ago though. But if they didn't waive him and it's less than two years, technically that would be possible.

that would be a good fantasy trade but they need a power forward.

Wade is both a PG and a SG. However, his natural position is SG. That's what he played in college and that's what he's better at. He's not a great creator and doesn't take great care of the ball. He's better just slashing to the basket and trying to score. Although, he does the job done at PG.

i am expecting this season with great expectations.
He will make you Shaq-haters eat that words. Especially Lakers fans and players will have their hardest time in their life in 2 matches.
One in LA, one in Miami.

Well, i agree with you. Miami will squash Clipps, but I'm not an NBA person retard, I play for my school, but i do it to burn time so when football season comes up retard.

Yay, let's rip apart his post.

Donte Thomas wrote:i don't like shaq, i can't idoloze him if i wanted to

No one asked you to idolize him, give him his props. Give credit where credit is due. Narrow-minded basketball person!

i'm a 16yr old whose 6'4, and is a shooting guard for grant h.s.

Are we supposed to care?

shaq is what 7'2 315 lbs., most dominant, plz. if shaq was so dominant, this would be his numbers, 29pts., 16rebs, 7assts, he can barely get 10 rebounds.

No, he's 7'1 & 340 lbs. Most dominant? Yes. Revert to Finals.

You want 29 Points? How about you settle for 27.1?
You want 16 Rebounds? How about you settle for 12.1?
You want 7 Assists? How about you settle for 2.9?

When someone averages those numbers in this day & age, come back and call me an asshole.

Well, i agree with you.

Agree with me. I'm right, you're wrong.

Miami will squash Clipps

So far so good.

but I'm not an NBA person retard

Good, you admit you have no NBA knowledge thus your comments & insight is worthless to this discussion.

I play for my school

You tell us that as if it's a big deal & that we should think you're LeBron James part 2.

but i do it to burn time so when football season comes up retard.

Just burn up the time in silence instead of mouthing off about stuff you don't know. 29 pts, 16 boards & 7 assists? What is this NBA Live 2004? Go play some basketball for your school, retard.

Oh, have a nice day. :)

Wed Aug 25, 2004 7:00 am

how tall is wade anyway?

and oh btw, why would any center average 7 assists a game? most starting point guards cant average 7 assists.

Wed Aug 25, 2004 7:15 am

Wade is listed at 6'4. That's 4 inches more than Iverson. His strength is slashing so yeah, it's possible for him to play the SG position. Especially with Shaq in the middle. He'll get more room to manouvre/drive. He can also always dish it off. But yeah, as has been mentioned, he's a slasher thus SG would be his spot. (Y)

Wed Aug 25, 2004 7:46 am

Yep, in my opinion he is a better SG than PG. He played well at the PG position last season, but he played SG at Marquette and he did a little better. 6'4 is just about a SG height, so I would rather have a Jwill and Wade backcourt than Wade and Jones, and I'm pretty sure that's why the Heat want Jwill

Wed Aug 25, 2004 11:12 am

well if he is 64 then this trade would be great for the heat. wont ever happen as west would never do such a dumb thing. plus if i recall west has said he really likes jwill.

Wed Aug 25, 2004 3:16 pm

I'm just wondering what the whole point of this trade is? Shaq has got 2 (count them...) 2 great point guards in Damon Jones and a certain someone named Wade. Why would you want to trade for a point guard who most likely, Shaq will probably eat,
(The only reason Shaq wants him, is because J-Wills nickname is White Chocolate.)

I mean, Shaq is just plain greedy. The dude should be asking for 4 not a friggin' 1. Miami are set up from the 1-3 pretty much, but then from then on, they need help.

And now, to looking at it from Memphis' point of view (or Mafia’s- pick one :D )... why the hell would they trade a perfectly good pg along with Posey (MVP of last season) for Dooling/Eddie and Jones? Like Qballer said before (or whoever said it) Jerry West ain't that stupid. Why do you think he's got to where he is now?

I’m just sick of Shaq wanting what Shaq wants!? :? Sure he’s big, but someone should stand up to him; get the Miami management to say ‘no’ to Shaq right from the start, especially Riley, so Shaq knows, he’s not gonna get what he wants. Miami have a great team, could and will be contenders, but damn- there’s such a thing as too much Shaq!

(just my 2 cents)

But Shaq needs shooters around him. EJ is a better shooter than J.Will or Wade. Wade is more a slasher. I like Wade at PG and Jones at SG.
If you put J.Will and Wade, who shoots??

Yeah- Shaq could average 29,16 and 7... against Donte Thomas' team!

Wed Aug 25, 2004 10:55 pm

He could avarage 30/16/5 against any team if he wants

Thu Aug 26, 2004 12:30 am

actually i think this trade favors miami so i dont see why anyone from miami would say no. the griz should be the ones saying no. jones is definetly on the decline while posey is going in the other direction. no way the griz make this trade.

btw miami already signed person to be thier shooter. i dont see him being on the floor a whole lot though so it would be nice to get a starter with a good shot.

Thu Aug 26, 2004 4:18 am

Eh? No one said it was in favour of the Grizzlies Sauru, you're just stating the obvious with the last one. Check this whole thread, they all have one thing in common: this isn't going to happen. Your post was just the same. :)

I'm just wondering what the whole point of this trade is? Shaq has got 2 (count them...) 2 great point guards in Damon Jones and a certain someone named Wade.

If you had bothered to read the thread, which I don't think you did, if you did...you didn't pay attention. Wade is suited to play the 2, thus bringing in Williams isn't as absurd as it sounds. He's a good passer & I think he'd be able to get the ball to Shaq when the ball needs to go to Shaq.

Shaq will probably eat

Hardy har har...?

I mean, Shaq is just plain greedy. The dude should be asking for 4 not a friggin' 1. Miami are set up from the 1-3 pretty much, but then from then on, they need help.

We can't even be sure if that's what Shaq said. Again, it's just a rumour. It could be one writers wild imagination, don't be calling the man greedy based on that. If you have more reasons, please do share.

Why not ask for a frigging one when he's obtainable? (Not really, but you understand that no one would trade their PF for Jones, well not at the level J-Will is.)

Hmm, I think my formulation sucked on that one. Let's try again...you won't get a quality big man for EJ. Not in this day & age when quality big men are scarce. What could you get from EJ & some scrubs? An ok guard...

Jones for a good guard is possible, Jones for a good forward isn't possible. That no one would bite. (Again, I'm not saying this trade could happen, West isn't that idiotic.) But you get the point I'm trying to convey.

Williams & Wade in the back-court > Jones & Wade. That's just my opinion though, feel free to disagree Macca. Jones isn't getting any younger.

I’m just sick of Shaq wanting what Shaq wants!?

Eh? You could be tired of it as much as you like, Riley & Co aren't tired of it. They welcome it, why else would they send their whole roster to LA? Because they don't want Shaq to want? Shaq has promised he will win for them, I'm pretty positive he's going to keep his promise. He doesn't suck THAT much quite yet.

Sure he’s big, but someone should stand up to him

Maybe they should bring in Yao.

get the Miami management to say ‘no’ to Shaq right from the start, especially Riley, so Shaq knows, he’s not gonna get what he wants.

:scold: Miami would be doing the same thing LA did to Shaq. Lying. LA told Shaq to get the Malone & Payton and he could have anything he wanted. They didn't keep up their end of the bargain. Miami said, yeah Shaq, we're willing to run things your way because we believe you'll keep your end of the bargain.

Miami have a great team, could and will be contenders, but damn- there’s such a thing as too much Shaq!

There's never too much when it comes to basketball. More talent the better. If it works is another thing but don't blame the players for asking for something better than what they have at the moment. That's what the NBA is all about. Building the best team. You're complaining about him being greedy? Doesn't every player want to be surrounded by what he thinks will give the team the best opportunities to succeed?

Thu Aug 26, 2004 4:32 am

i am sorry maybe i should have quoted what i was replying to, so here it is.

"I’m just sick of Shaq wanting what Shaq wants!? Sure he’s big, but someone should stand up to him; get the Miami management to say ‘no’ to Shaq right from the start, especially Riley"

i was just saying why would miami say no to shaq over this?

Thu Aug 26, 2004 4:37 am

Oh, I thought you meant that we implied that the Grizzlies would benefit from this trade. Oh well, my bad. I'm starting to like that quote button just as much as Tricky Ricky is.

Thu Aug 26, 2004 4:44 am

lol. i need to use it more often myself.

Thu Aug 26, 2004 1:16 pm

I wish Jason would go to the Heat, but it probably won't happen. If it were to happen, Wade could play 2..which he is better at.
