One of the saddest days in the NBA that I can remember: Flip Saunders, great coach & great man, has passed away at a mere 60 years old #RIP

That's a real shame, especially after the earlier, encouraging news that his condition was "treatable and curable". Sadly, cancer's a foe that often prevails in the face of such hope. RIP, condolences to his family.
