The way Kidd makes Jefferson look good only adds to Kidd's legacy.

LOL Just wait till you see what Kidd does for Mercer!!!

Cook signed a 1 year minimum deal. Looks like he'll use number 14 as he did in summer league.

RJ has developed his own game for the last two years. Did you check out his stats with KMart and Kidd gone? He can put the ball in the basket without those two...

Bobcats are gonna win 10-15 games... they have too much youth on their team.

I like the Cook signing. I'm not too sure about House (ie, not sold on), but I think Hart is a good player. Same with Cook. Solid, pure point guard who looks to pass first. Played well on the Blazers but they had too many players and Cheeks for some reason soured on him eventually. Probably his poor shooting.

You guys are dissing the Bob-cats too much. Rens, I jumped their bandwagon before you did, so hah! :P

They might suck or they might just prove to gel really well & Okafor could dominate..ehm, ok. They might suck, but I still love any team that's willing to build around a big man. (Y)

Jackal you might've been earlier, but less vocal and less knowledgable. There goes your claim.

few things here

1. richard jefferson is not that good. he is ok but without kid he is mearly average.

2. i dont think okafor will be nearly as good as alot of you guys seem to think he will be. he only stood out due to a weak draft.

3. 15 wins max. its clear to me they have no intention to win this season. they got alot of expireing contracts and have been trying to trade for draft picks. next year they might make some noise.

8-74! book it...I just don't see them beating teams like the Hawks or Clippers. The only team I can picture them beating are the Warriors. Remember, this is the NBA though and that's why you play the games. My prediction is 8-74 though.

Disagree. In March, for a stretch of 4 games, RJ lacked Kidd. he averaged 20.25 pts and 6 boards, shooting slightly over a very respectable 47.7%. Does RJ have a high % of shots assisted? Yes, however, his number (72) is very similar to other players on the Nets (Kidd, Martin). Keep in mind this isn't a isolated case, as the Nets play a Princeton offense that calls for ball movement, back door screens, etc that cause a lot of assists. The Nets were 2nd in the league with assists last year so RJ's assisted baskets should be no surprise. 2 years before, RJ's game was extremely dependent on Kidd. No more, as he's developed a lethal mid ranged shot to go with his slashing abilities.

I don't think they'll be that bad, if only due to the fact that upsets can occur in sports and good teams sometimes play bad games or have bad luck in the way of injuries, a player fouling out or being unavailable due to some other reason.

Only one team has won fewer than 10 games in an 82 game season. The regular season is long enough to allow for some upsets and for bad teams to rack up a few wins here and there. But that's just my guess based on history, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I did know, as Rens said it was the Sixers. I forgot the season though. My guess was that it was in the 70s, research confirms it was the 1972/73 season.
