Next step: finding all their equivalents in today's league. Superstar comparisons are easier and something we do all the time, but who is the Charlie Ward of 2015? The Lamond Murray? The Dwayne Schintzius?!?

Not so random as these are my favorite players to plug in to teams when building franchises back in the late 90s in NBA Live. Most of the time they can be had for cheap while generating good stats.

Kevin Willis
Cliff Robinson
Nick Anderson
Kendall Gill
Brevin Knight

What a delightful topic. Since the 90's was my favorite decade of NBA ball, here are my 2 cents:

C: Gheorghe Muresan
PF: Maurice Taylor
SF/SG: Stacey Augmon
SG/SF: David Wingate
PG: Gary Grant

You'd start Ward over Mookie? [barkleyvoice]You a knucklehead.[/barkleyvoice] :D Hawkins aside, your bench looks stronger than your S5.
