Name the best player in the world. It has been Duncan,he is game of basketball.
He does things the right way.In my opinion only player who can compete with Tim is Jordan.
He is unstopable,he is something special.
But eh that´s my opinion.
I wanna hear your opinions..

You've got to be kidding me, right?

Jordan + Wilt = best.

Other legends still ahead of Duncan in my book.

Wed Aug 11, 2004 11:55 am

I know Jordan can compete with him, and Duncan is a good player.....but i dont think that he is the best right now, but certainly one of the best, :D (Y)

I'd say Garnett asl of now. Duncan is damn good too but Kevins stats were better this year.

Duncan = Many An MVP Award (2)
but still, Jordan and Bill Russell/Wilt Chamberlain ahead of him.

I would still place the legends of the game ahead of today's stars, but as far as active players go I'd would say either Duncan or KG. KG is more versatile, is the current MVP and succeeded in getting past the first round now that he has some help, but Duncan has those two rings and two MVP trophies.

Right now? Duncan is the best player, KG the best talent. They haven't done enough, however, to be put up with the Jordans, Birds, Magics, Wilts, and so on.

is this guy jason duncan?

best player ever - jordan
now .. i'd have to say duncan, garnett, kobe .. i still put duncan and garnett ahead of kobe but i'm hoping kobe breaks through and gets better than he already is this upcoming season

Only focusing on the present I'd have to say it's Timothy Duncan. Without question.......

Judging off of stats is the worst thing anyone can do.

As for the GOAT, it's Jordan or Hakeem, I'd say.

I'll answer this post the way Jason Duncan answered it a while back...

Best playa-Tim Duncan (y)
He had grazy season, grazy playoffs and HUGE finals.
He was unstopable.Nobody didnt stopped him.

That's right. Nobody didn't stopped Tim Duncan he was that stoppable. Hmm... and now we're struggling to even mention Michael Jordan in the same breath as Timmy... that's how "grazy" Timmy is! Nobody can't stopped him!!

Come on, Duncan isn't even half way through his career yet, when it's all said and done, I believe he'll go down as Top 10 all-time.

that has got to be the first time i ever heard hakeems name when considering the best player of all time. no one in thier right mind would take him over jordan, bird, magic, wilt, and a shit load of other players.

another thing people have to consider is the league is not as good as it was in the 90's and more so in the 80's. these players, great as they are, would not be as great back in those days. i am not saying that they would suck and would not be all stars but it would be a totally different story. what if duncan played his prime through the mid 90's. say he was not a spur. say he had to go against people like ewing, hakeem, and robinson(great back then). not to mention a host of other big men who were not legens or even all stars but all were damn good, specially when compared to todays big men.

also dont compare greatest ever by stats alone, stats help you get the convo started but there is alot more to take into consideration, and tops on that list is who did they get these stats against. remember all these expansion teams over the past 10 years or whatever are watering down the nba so the teams are not as good as they once were, though i wont say the compitition is less simple because the watering down effects all.

It was a great debate.
