You know, I do agree with that. But don't forget he had the ball most of the time anyways...so I mean, if you're carrying the ball for about 16 seconds of the shot clock, for about 45 mpg, I do expect you do be the only player to play well . I'm just kidding, but I'm sure if Francis shared the ball a bit more instead of firing that jump shot off that pick and roll, other players would've played better.

Nah, I think Shaq will make All NBA First.

He is being shipped out, I don't think his stats could go lower than this season. That's just an assumption of a biased Shaq fan though.

But people who think Yao is in Shaq's league are wrong. Yao has potential I just don't see it yet. Give him some more time Shaq is better than Yao times 5.

Their styles of play vary alot.

Yao is hyped up as much as he is because he's a true center with alot of potential. Meaning, he could be the next great center.

A great center is a rarity these days, that's the only reason poeple love Yao as much as they do, no one really compares the two.

Yao is a finesse player whereas Shaq is a force player, the reason they are pitted against eachother is because they are the only 2 centers worth watching.

Curry has shown flashes, now if he was consitant.
James has the size, but he sucks.
Diop has no jumper whatsoever.
Lafrentz is more of a forward.
Brian Grant is a forward.
Kurt Thomas is a forward.
Etc etc.

Ilgauskas is grossly overpaid. He's aging too.

Dampier had a good year because it was contract re-newel year. Once he's got his contract, I don't think he'll be posting numbers like he did this year.

Marc Jackson is rockin' the bench now in Philly behind the up and coming Dalembert. He was played with injuries all year so he couldn't really do that much this year in Philly.

Big Z did play well last year, however. At times he was soft, but after the All-Star break, he played harder and better. His contract, as terrible as it is, is expiring. Meaning he's a very, very tradeable asset, although they need him for some real post scoring.

I don't think he got you on Blount just yet. Blount has only had one good year in his career and suddenly he's a hot ticket. You know what teams could tell you about centers that have one good year then get a fat contract? The Sonics. They signed one, but acquired two via trade, in Jerome James, Vitaly Potenpatko (sp), and Calvin Booth.

Marc Jackson is a good post scorer, albeit not very effective. He plays hard, but his defense could use some work and isn't a shot blocker. He's a good rebounder, but I don't think he's starter quality anymore, although nowadays....his contract, once pretty darn big, is better than a $6.5 million Foyle. He seems to have regressed after his rookie year with the Warriors, but he's still a valuable scorer off the bench.

I don't think he got you on Blount just yet. Blount has only had one good year in his career and suddenly he's a hot ticket. You're right James never had a good year, but he did play well for a stretch. And man, was there a lot of hype or what. I remember, he was getting raves about his skill and potential.

Booth's big year was that year you mentioned. I guess it isn't really a "big year", if you must, but he was talked about a lot. Not the hype, but his swatting skills. The big years I mentioned around Booth and James can't really be measured by their stats, but more by the talk around them.

You're right Potapenko had a few pretty good seasons though...I did mention they got him in a trade from the C's (well I don't think I mentioned from the C's) .
