I wonder if Montgomery will be able to turn it around or if he's just gonna be another Pitino (minus the whole horrible drafts)...

Long before his stint with the Celtics, Pitino had a decent couple of years at the helm of the Knicks. Perhaps if someone else had been making the moves leaving Pitino to concentrate on coaching, he might have done a better job with a better roster.

The Warriors stripped Garry St Jean of his GM duties recently. If his replacement can make some shrewd moves, perhaps Montgomery will have a better roster to work with.
