Seriously guys, I don't think VC's performance in 2000 will ever be topped, well maybe it was by MJ in 1988. :) VC has got to be in the Top 3 when it comes to the best dunkers of All-time along with MJ and Nique.

on the dunk contest we have spoken about people but about the actual contest itself if you think back i think it was 2 years ago when they had the rounds and they had the wheel round where you mimic that dunk n like they had dunks from different NBA eras on it and Dr J classics. well last years dunk contest didn't have this and i rekon this wheel dunk and the dunk where you have a team mate assist you works. it changes it up and makes things interesting. so i rekon bring that stuff back because its much more interesting than last years style. well thats my opinion

i'd like to see someone do a front flip or 720 degree dunk. Nah but seriously, aside from those two there's tons of dunks people haven't done that i can think of. I think the modern nba dunkers have just lost their imagination. Picture these for example....

A Dunk taking off with your arm(s) between your legs clutching the ball....then remove your hand in mid air and dunk it. That could also be done while doing a 360.

A Dunk much like the first but with your hand(s) behind your back and tucking your body in mid air.

Tucking your body midair and making the ball touch your feet and rising again to dunk the ball.

Doing a cartwheel..a backflip and let the backflip provide the spring going into a dunk. It can also be done without the backflip.

Doing a 360 or 180 with both arms spread out horizontally.

Doing a high flyer one handed double pump tuck dunk over 3 or 4 half crouched players.

...and i can go on and on.

I would insist that the paramedics be on hand before I tried most any of those dunks Yohance...because whoever tried most of them might die.

I do like the arms out 360 though.

I kind of liked the teammate dunks, but as Kenny Smith so often pointed out, few competitors brought along the best passer on the team, so many of the lobs didn't turn out as well as expected. I think teammates should be utilised in the dunk contest, but it shouldn't be a requirement in any of the rounds.

In my opinion, the wheel was a terrible idea, especially if the contest only has four competitors. There aren't that many dunks to begin with, so it's not a good idea to add a stipulation that stands a good chance of resulting in failed attempts. Even though it adds new challenges to the contest, it also takes away creativity and is potentially a disadvantage for otherwise creative and entertaining dunkers.

If the contest was longer with more competitors, perhaps the wheel could be used. But if they're going to keep the four player contest with a couple of dunks per player per round, the wheel shouldn't be used. If it was up to me it wouldn't be used at all under any circumstance.
