Rookie Vs Sophmores

Postby Matthew on Mon Jan 05, 2004 8:27 pm

Hey I noticed before that shaq was ahead of Yao ming as the west starter, and lebron probably wont be voted in front of tmac and AI.. so just think if these guys arent selected for the asg
Rookies
Chris Bosh
Carmelo
Lee-bron
Dwayne Wade
TJ Ford
Kirk Hinrich
Chris Kahman
Sophmores
Yao Ming
Amare
Caron Butler
Drew Gooden
Nene
Tayshaun Prince
Frank Williams (this team needs a pg, and Jay Williams isnt available)
Qyntel Woods

Who would win? I think the rookies, more ballhandling and swingmen.. if the sophmores had jay williams id go with them, but they dont. It sure would be fun to see everyone try to dunk on Yao tho

I'd also go with the Rookies, with or without LeBron. However, I've got a feeling both Ming and LeBron will be in the main event this year.

good topic (y)

Rookies (awesome team this year)
LeBron (doubtful), Carmelo, Bosh, Hinrich, T.J. Ford, Hayes, Wade, Josh Howard, Chris Kaman.

Sophomores
Yao, Amare, Gooden, Dunleavy, Boozer, Nene, Ginobili, Jaric, Giricek (all the guards have just disappeared)

An easy win for the rookies there, with Wade or Carmelo the MVP

Yeah, likely happening that LeBron and Yao play at the main event...

Perhaps Leandrinho from Phoenix manages to sneak in the rookie/sophs game...

Hey, how can you forgett Carloz Boozer in the sophmores, he is almost a allstar player.

Sopmores got much better big players in their, My guess is that they will win since the rookie aint got no good big man and good scores near the basket is real important.

Qyntel Woods? Please tell me that isn't the official roster. This guy's got mad potential. I remember when he came into the draft, he was expected to turn some heads, but he just hasn't been producing over the past two years; probably because he playing time is still limited.

if they were all healthy, the Sophmores would probably take it

Jay Will isn't there.. neither is Amare unless he returns for the All Star break.. those are two good ballers, one point and one forward, that would definitely start for the Sophs

the Rooks tho have an advantage at the guard/forward spot because of The Bron (if he plays in the Rook Game) and Melo

iono.. rooks have more speed but sophs got size

as of now, i'll say that the Sophs still take it

should be an entertaining game no matter what

Yea and Yao isn't going to be in the Rookie game, he'll prolly get voted in All Star by the coaches.

Rookies
Chris Bosh
Carmelo
Dwayne Wade
TJ Ford
Kirk Hinrich
Chris Kahman
Jarvis Hayes

Sophmores
Jiri Welsch
Amare (still injured?) then Dan Gadzuric or Chris Wilcox
Ronald Murray
Drew Gooden
Nene
Tayshaun Prince
Carlos Boozer
Micheal Dunleavy Jr

How could everyone forget Ronald Murray?????????

Those aren't the official rosters. They won't be announced until we're a little closer to the All-Star Weekend.

Rookies will take this one easily...Wade,Melo,Bosh and Ford are just too good for the sophmores...yes they will have Yao but Ford can handle the ball and pass real well and Melo and Wade can do everything offensivly Bosh is a good defender and has some good dunks

Finnaly someone who recognises GAME, did anyone else notice the big improvement of Dan Gadzuric???
He's playing extremely well in games where he gets the minutes.
I thought he was in the top of the league in stats-per-48-minutes

I gotta give good players their props, no one recognizes Gadzuric, the Bucks just aren't that popular I guess. No one realizes he was a 34th pick and is avging 7pts 6 boards and 1.88 blocks in 19mins. Imagine him playing Boozer's minutes.

Another one that surprises me is how no one mentioned Dunleavy??
