Has anyone seen Kwame Brown lately?

Three games is nothing really. But Kwame has been playing great for the past few games off the bench. He has had 18, 17, and 18 points and 4, 7, and last night 14 rebounds. Last night Kwame showed me why he was drafted #1 overall. Especially in the first half, he played like a star against the Magic. Of course, the Magic have no big men whatsoever, especially on defense, but he was doing all the right things and played with confidence. He took it to the basket when the Wizards needed him to. Unfortunately, that hasn't neccessarily meant a win.

I think that what Kwame needs is time. Coming out of high school was a mistake. I would give him this year, and give him next year and then start grading him. Four years is equivalent to college. He could also use some confidence, but that comes with winning.

I'd like to know what you think about Kwame Brown's future.

i know i thought there was another thread about this but going the bench I think has taken pressure off him.....he has had 18 and 4, 17 and 7 and 18 and 14 and has got some blocks unlike the 3 blocks in the first 13 games of the season

he is also shooting a good precentage and making throws

sometimes he's brilliant showing signs of a real #1, other times he looks real lost.

I think he lacks basketball knowledge and the competitiveness?
Skill wise.. he does have a few post moves + hes got a decent shooting tough ...
Talent wise.. common.. with that height, speed and jump.. he can dominate..
Think about Kwame with Kenyon Martin's Attitude.. he'll score 30 and grab 20 rebounds every game..

He reminds me of a young Vin Baker.. if he gets more aggressive..
or Jermaine O'neal ..

College would have helped.. maybe he will learn how to play ball correctly.. i mean.. in the NBA.. you don't get to perform at all when you don't the right things.. and you have that pressure put on you as the #1 pick and MJ on ur team

yea the guy was a 6'5 shooting guard in highschool then he blew up to 6'11 so there's a lil adjustment there but he has range tho

was he really??
i never knew that!
imagine that!
you play as a guard coming off screens cutting to the basket, creating shots for yaself, then all of a sudden u grow 5 inches and now u HAVE to play the post and get stronger and completely re-arrange ya game!

if he doesn't play well next year when he will probably get a lot of minutes, i am going to really think he is a bust. but for now, i'm not going to comment on anything. i bet if wizards didn't have #1 overall pick, someone else might pick him overall.

i think this is his last chance for the Wizards, if he doesn't do something positive then he'll get traded

IMO, the Wizards should definitaly not trade Kwame Brown. The Wizards problem is that they do not have good big men. Why would you trade a seven-footer who has enough talent to become an NBA superstar but is being criticized because he isn't one in his third year in the NBA out of high school and is still growing?

I also just found out that Kwame can't palm the ball (nor can Brendan Haywood.) That explains why they both go up with two hands (which is really a good thing, it's safer to go up with two hands than one) and often lose control when using one hand.
