dallas defeat the lakers at the staples center 110-93

walker had a very good game- he even guarded shaq a few times. looked like dirk was in full choke mode in the 4th qtr

IMO, shaq's inability to make free throws is an embarassment to basketball.

maybe it was because this game was nationally televised.. if i had a dime for every time a player or coach complained after a call was/was not made, i'd be a rich man

I think the league should make a rule:

Every team assign one captain and an alternate in case the other one is injuried or himself tossed from the game.

Then no player is allowed to speak to the refs, only the captain may do so and only during deadballs or during times such as timeouts or inbetween quarters. I have thought this for years and wonder why they wouldn't do this. Also from the bench, the Head Coach is the only person allowed to make comments directly at officials, no assistants or bench players.

Which person do you think understands the rules better?

If you are Rasheed Wallace and Jeff McInnis is the captain of the team, surely Rasheed the crazy ass wouldn't be the captain, If you're Wallace and you so much as look wrongly at a ref, wham! technical, again, out, hit the road jack. This way we would not have all this bullshit coming from Vlade and Wallace and I have put someone else on my list of crybabies, and this guy is really coming on as a player, that would be Pau Gasol, man this dude bitches non-stop. But he would probably be named Memphis' only captain, if he's not already. So there would have to be some limit on the amount of bitching allowed. This rule would make the league a much tougher and fast-paced game. People might even learn to play better to get through a bad call.

Just a thought.

yeah, definetely. esp because of the reason you already gave:

This rule would make the league a much tougher and fast-paced game.
