If it ain't my boy Psycho..... Us refers to me and the Lakers. Yes, I consider myself apart of the team because I am the biggest Laker fan on God's green earth. No, I won't stop using the terms us and we when refering to the Lakers because I believe you have the mental capacity to decifer that I ain't really on the fucking team. What is it about me? I do my damnest not to come off rude, because I would like for people here to show me the same respect. Come on, man. Come off that kid shit.. it's not called for and makes you look like an ass.

Hehehe...I must say...that was quite a quality diss there...

Since there's so much quibbling over this one point I question how Horry sold out the Lakers by having a bad season, it's not Horry's fault he was their only outside shooter...if anything it's the Lakers that wronged Horry after reigning on a promise to resign him, thus why he went to another team he could win a ring with (one that's a rival to boot) and then proceeded to 'diss' the Lakers...

If it doesn't have a verb in it's not a sentence. I didn't the make the rules...But on the real, I don't give a squirt of cat piss how you write, enunciate, or any of that shit. This ain't my English Composition course, and I ain't here working towards my degree. We're supposed to be here to discuss the happenings of the NBA. It's called NBA Talk, if it's not about the NBA it's out of place. Ben, Horry wasn't our only outside shooter, and even if he was that doesn't excuse missing every shot he took. And Horry didn't want to come back either.

Come on, are you going to tell me Fisher and George were the go-to outside shooters? Sure other guys can hit threes in the course of a game but Horry was the only one they had who they went to in the clutch. But that's a minor point to quibble over.

He struggled because he got off to a bad start thanks to Shaq MIA and like you said...confidence shooter. Plus he had to guard Tim Duncan the whole dang series, Horry is a smart defender but Tim Duncan will demoralize anyone.

Seriously, would you want to go back to a team that broke it's promise to you and then replaces you? Don't get me wrong, I'm not faulting the Lakers for letting him go, just pointing out the other side of the story.

Irregardless, I don't see how Horry sold the Lakers out. Are you trying to imply Horry went 0-fer against the Spurs because he had a deal with them?

You seem to be under the impression Horry was just blanketed against the Spurs. He didn't make a single shot the entire playoffs. That is downright awful for your starting power forward, especially with all the hype he had got following the prior year's playoffs. We were already injury riddled with both our small forwards in street clothes and Kobe only playing at 65% after injuring his shooting shoulder in game 2 trying to dunk on Rasho. You can't make excuses for him. This was not the time at all to go coward.

I'd take my boy D-Fish in the clutch anyday. He's defintely the Lakers most overlooked player. Ofcourse you wouldn't have gone to Devean he wasn't ready, and I'm still not ready to buy into his newfound offense just yet. you can't forget about Kobe. Stastically that's not who you want shooting from three point land, but you know as well as I do that number can double if he's just knocked a few jumpers down.

Stu Lance (Laker announcer) said Horry didn't want to return to LA. So we didn't replace him that's what he wanted. But I ain't 100% on that, because it was never really talked about.

Me personally, I was never too big on Robo. I fucking hate the way he plays defense, and back in his early years with the Lakers when he was having confidence problems and wouldn't shoot the three at all I really didn't like him.

It's not as if the Lakers need Horry. If they need a three then they can give the ball to Kobe, or Payton, or Fisher. Even Devean George, who I for the last two years remember as the guy who can't score, is playing well right now. Rick Fox usually plays well, although he sprained his ankle or something and is out for nine months. As for the Lakers promising Horry a contract, teams lie to players all the time. How do you think Indiana re-signed Jermaine O'neal?

I feel he could have played better than he did, that's why I personally feel he sold us out. I'm not trying to force my opinion on anyone, that's just the way I feel about it.

Wasn't his FG% (not including his 3-pointers) somewhere in the 40s or so? Sorry if i'm wrong, but this is what I remember.

I don't think Horry could really be blamed that much. He shot bricks from downtown, yes, but overall he plays best coming off the bench. He had to start waay too many times that year and had nothing left in the playoffs. I think it was just a collective meltdown by the Lakers and the fact that they didn't improve enough over the years. They just lost too many parts since 2000. This year should be different though

Yeah, I was talking about three point field goals. Good catch. You got another point with the lack of improvements to the roster. I was pissed behind that too. If we would had been doing that we might have still been rolling through the playoffs like in 2001, because you need some hungry players to give a team that boost. But I thought we still could have pulled it out with the roster we had if everybody was healthy.

has anybody thought about this?
