Saw it come up on the NBA Memes Facebook page, sounded like a fun game to play here. Pick your all-time starting five out of these players, but the catch is, you've only got $15 to spend. Yes, I wouldn't agree with all the dollar amounts for each player either, but that's what they've come up with.

My first choice would be...
C: Hakeem Olajuwon ($1)
F: Tim Duncan ($3)
F: Socttie Pippen ($1)
G: Michael Jordan ($5)
G: Magic Johnson ($5)

Challenge accepted.
C: Shaq ($2)
F: Duncan ($3)
F: Bird ($4)
G: Bryant ($4)
G: Stockton ($2)
Sun Sep 06, 2015 9:07 pm
PG: Stockton ($2)
SG: Jordan ($5)
SF Pippen ($1)
PF Duncan ($3)
C Chamberlain ($3)
+ buy something for 1$ left

I will just take 3 Michael Jordan's...
Game over...

I'd take 2 Kobes against your 3 jordans and you'll still lose.
Mon Sep 07, 2015 12:46 am
Stockton
Wade
James
Malone
Shaq
Mon Sep 07, 2015 12:46 am
Well I'll take one Brian Scalabrine. You're doomed
Mon Sep 07, 2015 1:09 am
G: Walt Frazier (1)
G: Michael Jordan (5)
F: LeBron James (5)
F: Tim Duncan (3)
C: Hakeem Olajuwon (1)

The classic Kobe/Jordan debate...
Mon Sep 07, 2015 4:20 am
PG: OSCAR robertson (4 dollar)
SG: DWYANE wade (1 dollar)
SF: LEBRON james (5 dollar)
PF: DIRK nowitzki (2 dollar)
C: WILT chamberlain (3 dollar)

Seen this last year and even then and now I still think whoever made it is stupid for making Tim Duncan and Wilt Chamberlain not worth 5, and Kobe 10. He did right making Shaq worth more than Olajuwon though.
Mon Sep 07, 2015 11:05 am
Stockton 2
Jordan 5
Bird 4
Duncan 3
Hakeem 1

I'm wondering if some of the dollar amounts were assigned to facilitate certain combinations. For example, I'd place Duncan at $5 over Malone and Barkley. Even if you still want to consider Malone the top power forward of all-time, Duncan surely has to be number two. Putting him at the $3 mark allows him to be paired up with two $5 players, though.

I don't think that too much thought went into it, honestly.
Tue Sep 08, 2015 11:11 am
It'd be fun to see whose team would come out on top in 2k.
Tue Sep 08, 2015 6:33 pm
PG- Oscar Robertson
SG- Jerry West
SF- Larry Bird
PF- Tim Duncan
C- Hakeem Olajuwon
Tue Sep 08, 2015 11:48 pm
PG Magic $5
SG Wade $1
SF LeBron $5
PF Dirk $2
C Shaq $2
Assuming all of them are during their prime of course.
Wed Sep 09, 2015 2:34 am
Stockton 2
West 3
Bird 4
Duncan 3
Wilt 3

Even the team from the bargain bin (Hakeem, Garnett, Pippen, Wade and Stockton) would be incredibly OP.

F: Karl Malone ($5)
F: Socttie Pippen ($1)

Yeah, it's hard to go wrong here.
Thu Sep 10, 2015 11:58 am
pg - Magic
sg - Jordan 5
sf - Pippen 1
pf - Duncan
c - Olajuwon
pretty sure this is the best team you can make. pippen is an absolute steal at 1 dollar

Seems we're on the same page there. So...good choices!

I definitely get the impression that some of the prices have been deliberately set to facilitate a wide variety of lineups. Again, Barkley's an all-time great, and Malone's still in the discussion as far as the best power forward of all-time is concerned, but few would rank them
both ahead of Duncan at this juncture.

3 of the 5 categories i would rank differently for sure with the other 2 i could settle for. i would also take a healthy mcgrady over 3 of the shooting guards but that might be some personal preference

hmph, I disagree.
You guys base that MJ is the must-have player. But I will argue Wilt is better and dominates his position even more. And consider his $3 price tag, I will boldly go with Wilt over Jordan. There's a significant gap between Olajuwon and Wilt btw, and cost difference is only $2.
Pippen is a great deal at $1. But just for $2 more, you get Durant. Also Wade at $1 is a steal too and he probably is closer to #2 or 3 in SG list.
