Decision In Pre-Trial Hearing...

Tue Oct 21, 2003 7:22 am

The judge will just now release his decision about the Kobe Bryant Case.

Will he or wont he go to trial?

Few more minutes and it will be known, it's on CNN right now.

Trial Decision Expected Shortly.

*Edit*: Judge orders Kobe Bryant to stand trial for rape (N).

Story will be posted as soon as I get one.

What so I don't get it? I thought you had to go to trial anyways? What if the judge said no trial was necessary? Would that of meant Kobe would get off the hook? Or What?

Obviously, he's not been proven guilty yet. But apparently there's enough to evidence to suggest that he may be guilty, so it's full steam ahead with the trial. He's not out of the woods yet.

If the judge had decided that he doesnt need to stand for trial, he wouldnt have to stand for trial. That's that. If the evidence wasnt compelling enough, meaning there was NO way it was rape, the judge would have dismissed the case. I dont think Kobe would have gone to trial then...the CNN guys said, if the judge would have said "You dont need to go to trial" then the sexual assault charges would (probably) have been dropped.

No, he's not out of the woods just yet. But the CNN guys did say almost EVERY case in the state of Colorado goes to trial. Even before the judge said Kobe will go to trial...people should have known that he will go to trial. (because EVERY case in Colorado goes to trial, this would be no exception.)
