Mo said Tuesday he wasn't serious about signing with Miami

Thu Jul 12, 2007 6:35 pm

Now,Mo Williams will have a big decision if he stays in milwuakee,or go to miami. If he decided to stay in Milwuakee,he'll earn 1 million dollars more than the 5 million dollars of miami. But if he plans to go to Miami, which he said is his favorite NBA city,he could win some rings with the heat and become d-wade's backcourt teammate. If you're Mo Williams,Money or Miami?

if Mo chooses money - it would be a hard proof that he is a stupid ass bitch! sorry 4 my bad english!

off course i'd choose Miami!

the right thing for him to do would be to pick miami and go for the championship. would give miami a second go-to scorer when wade is out.

Thu Jul 12, 2007 9:01 pm

He better resign with the Bucks. We gave him a chance to start and a chance to shine. If we lose him we are left with Bell, Greer and Sessions at the point - say 'hello' to the lottery.

I think the right thing would be remaining loyal to the team that gave you a go, where you can be a key peace in the future.

Thu Jul 12, 2007 9:20 pm

Why would Mo Williams be looking for a contender where he will play a lesser role?

He's just looking for a payday. He's not a declining vet trying one more time to get his first ring. He would also be payed a hell of alot more in Milwaukee than Miami. I doubt it was just a $1 million difference, especially considering Miami is over the cap and can only really give him the MLE, which isn't what he will be looking for. I heard the Bucks offered a 5 year, $42 million deal, which would give Mo and average of $8.4 million a year, a much bigger payday than the MLE will give him.

If he doesn't get as much as Darko, there's a problem :P

Fri Jul 13, 2007 12:14 am

I don't think that Mo Williams wants to take a paycut in Miami and have his stats drop too. I think that he will re-sign with the Bucks and take the money.

Fri Jul 13, 2007 1:33 am

He better stay with the Bucks. . .they are on the rise . . . IF HEALTHY

Are you unable to type spaces? It's really hard to read.

If I were him, I'd stay with the Bucks. Milwakee can give him a lot more money than Miami can, and not to mention he can play more with the Bucks.

Fri Jul 13, 2007 4:44 am

If i were him i would go to miami, where it never snows. Sure he would get 1 mil less but he will still make alot of money, he can afford 1 mil less. Plus in the eastern conference he would for sure play for a playoff team that could get to the finals and win a championship. The only thing left in milwaukee is money and question marks.

Fri Jul 13, 2007 8:38 am

1 mil really means nothing to be honest. 5 mil vs 6 mil either way you are set. however, even being said, i think he should stay. i am big on loyalty. i rather see him stay where he is at then jump ship for the better team.

Loyalty is great, but loyalty doesnt win championships. Look at Stockton, Reggie miller, or Dan Marino. Mo was a 2nd round pick that went from the bench to a starting pg then to a big free agent. Id say he worked his way up to being able to ditch the bucks for a better chance to win. If he is about winning, like most nba players should be, i wouldnt hate him for going to miami because that is just what i would do.

Fri Jul 13, 2007 10:17 am

nobody should blame him even if he choose the money
end of story

I think the lottery may already know who you guys are. No hello needed.

He would have a huge role in cleveland and they are a championship contender for many years to come, they have a very very young roster.

But Miami has too many olds, and when shaq's done that'll be the end for awhile in miami. You got to look at that perspective ;)

Too true.

But I don't think the Bucks want to catch up as often anymore. It's not the draft it's the Bucks. They just need some space... :P

he will definitely get more money than Darko unless he chooses not to by going to Miami....

i agree there is a point when a player should forget loyalty and move on. that point is when the team is not doing anything to improve itself to get better. right now he is not at that point in his career to make such a judgement. stockton does not fit in there either cause the jazz always tried to improve itself. the biggest player in any sport ever that should have left instead of stayed loyal was barry sanders. i still say the best football player ever(flame away my friends) and the lions never did shit to give him a chance to win.

Very true Sauru.

If anyone flames you for calling Barry the GOAT, then they have never watched Barry play. If he played a full regular length career, he's have all the records in all the categories. He was possibily the most explosive exciting player in anysport.

Sat Jul 14, 2007 10:35 am

I heard mo is supposed to make his decission tonight.

about time i found someone else who fully understands the greatness that was barry. the man did the most amazing things behind one of the worst lines ever. right now emmitt owns the rushing record, if barry stayed and played a full career he would have shattered that record, would be almost unreachable right now by anyone ever, just like you said.

Sat Jul 14, 2007 1:34 pm

actually i just heard he should decide next week. :?

Sources indicated the Bucks have offered a six-year, $51 million deal to Williams, increasing their offer from a five-year, $42 million contract.

Sun Jul 15, 2007 8:41 am

he signed with the bucks. He chose money

Sun Jul 15, 2007 10:31 am

good for him. ive always been a huge mo fan since he joined milwaukee in 2005(?) as he became my fantasy bball sleeper every single year. now that the word's out on him, i don't think it'll work.
