Triple Threat?

Can someone explain to me what triple threat is in basketball? I am creating a player in NBA 2K7 and there is a triple threat rating. Is it how good the player is at scoring, rebounding and dishing assists or is it to do with fastbreaks or something?

triple threat is when you have the ball and you have the option to shoot, pass or dribble. Basically anytime you receive a pass you are in a triple threat position.

To answer more specifically, in the game I believe it's how well the player can blow by defenders using a triple threat move (hold down both triggers and move the left stick).
