I dont see whats the big deal if he switches cities, so many players do that. Yes Cleveland fans would love to see him be a Cav for life but boohoo if he isnt, live with it. Going to the Cavs at the time he was drafted wasnt necessarily a dream move for any rookie out there.

That said, the chances of him joining the Knicks is just as good as him joining any other big market team. Anything is possible but it seems way too early for any kind of confirmation that LeBron intends to opt out and join the Knicks. If his intention was to leave Cleveland it seems odd to sign any kind of multiyear deal; it's not as though the Knicks will be a long way under the cap in a few years' time. It's also worth noting that Vescey's report claims LeBron will opt out after 2011/2012, which seems unlikely since his contract expires in 2010/2011. If the rumour is bogus, which it certainly seems to be, it's a particularly poorly constructed one since it seems little research has gone into it.

Again, that's not to say LeBron could never leave the Cavs but the whole idea of him deciding to join the Knicks in 2011 or 2012 and signing a four year extension in the meantime seems a bit farfetched.
