Im not sure if this is in the right section, but i couldnt think of anywhere more fitting. What im wondering is if the NLSC will have a NBA fantasy league this season? If not, would you guys be interested in starting one?
Thu Sep 14, 2006 10:26 pm
yep looks not bad mate. i just started one today for my league. 10 players only hehe. you can get up to 30 though
Thu Sep 14, 2006 10:28 pm
i would like to start a league for just NLSC guys, but i think it would probably be better to have around 10-15 players. It stops people from not being active because they are angry they got the last pick, and have a bad team because of it

We always start one, I believe Matthew's starting one for next season and it may involve money, but we'll see as the comp gets closer.
Thu Sep 14, 2006 10:31 pm
sounds good. except for the money part
Thu Sep 14, 2006 10:51 pm
nah moneys good, if you win that is
Thu Sep 14, 2006 10:57 pm
It'll only be like $5 each, get a pot of $100 or so for the winner.
Thu Sep 14, 2006 10:58 pm
How would you ensure that the people pay? If its only 5 bucks, im in (aus dollar im guessing?)
Thu Sep 14, 2006 11:04 pm
I'd say we'll set up a PayPal account... Matthew would know more since this is his idea/project, but that'd be the easiest way.

I'll DEFINITLEY play if money is involved.
I know I played last year but half way through the draft I had to leave and the computer did a horrible job drafting my team for me.
Fri Sep 15, 2006 12:52 am
I'd be in on that.
Fri Sep 15, 2006 1:34 am
Lets really raise the stakes though. 15$ a person.
That way most of the idiots probably wouldn't join either. I'm guessing the NLSC idiots don't have any money.
Fri Sep 15, 2006 1:36 am
I'd rather pay $5 and take money off the idiots lol. Though I'd still go for $15, hell, I'd go for $50 if enough people joined. I've won the last two NLSC leagues though people have always found something to bitch about (you traded for Yao

, the league was locked out and none of us could change the rosters

), I could win cleanly AND take your money.
Fri Sep 15, 2006 1:40 am
If there's money involved I can assure you I'd give you competition.
The higher the stakes, the more seriously I'd take it. I'd go for 50 bucks too, but I'm guessing it would be you, me and maybe Matthew in the league.
Fri Sep 15, 2006 1:42 am
I'd be in on that.
Fri Sep 15, 2006 1:42 am
Yeah, we'd have starting line-ups that look like All-Star teams. Matthew seems serious about this though so it should be cool, fantasy basketball's my favourite time of the year at the NLSC.
Fri Sep 15, 2006 1:42 am
yeah I wouldn't mind joining. I made a pretty successful league last year, as far as competition goes, with 14 people. Haven't really tried it with more though. I think 20 teams is max on yahoo and I think that would be interesting, to say the least.
Fri Sep 15, 2006 1:43 am
i dont have a job or nothing so i have no access to money. I would maybe be able to go for 10 though
Fri Sep 15, 2006 1:45 am
I'd spot you the 5 if you trade me your first round pick for my 7th
Fri Sep 15, 2006 1:52 am
lol fuck off, id rather go back to working the streets
Fri Sep 15, 2006 2:05 am
I think I'm interested in having DJ Mbenga on my fantasy team this year.
Fri Sep 15, 2006 2:10 am
is that the Popeye Jones wannabe that got dunked on by Zo in the finals?
Fri Sep 15, 2006 2:11 am
I think I'm interested in you having DJ Mbenga on your fantasy team too if it's a money league.

I'll draft Mbenga in the final round if you take John Edwards.
Fri Sep 15, 2006 2:15 am
I kind of had my eye on Luke Schensher, but ok Edwards it is.
