That comment really got some Dallas fans watery eyed
I hope so, like you Nash, that Dirk brings the title to Dallas. His teammates are so talented... Actually, I like every guy on Dallas Mavericks
It's about time for Dallas to win a title, a legendary player -Nowitzki- is on the making
Hopefully, I will take my nervous strain under control during the Finals

I'm suspecting them of being more than just beer buddies but besides that Nash is being a good sport which is very respectable specially these days in an ego filled league. But I'm going with the Heat to win the 'ship, Shaq's not going to let his fourth and possibly his final (where he's of major impact so to speak) slip away.
Mon Jun 05, 2006 7:37 am
at this point i don't care who wins. i'm just glad the pistons don't have a chance to be the ones celebrating at the championship podium. part of me wants the heat to win because of GP and only GP, the other wants dallas to win because dirk's paid his dues.

Thats the link, even though it donesnt really say "win it for me".
Nash and Dirk are really good friends, Nash's reaction doesn't surprise me.
However, i think the Heat will win the title and all their old guys (GP and Zo) will retire.

Great... then they started making out and had ugly little long haired Canadian/German children who are great shooters/passers but don't play D and are loved by bandwagoners everywhere.

I really want Dirk and the Mavs to win the series so that Shaq will realize he can't win without Kobe

Shaq can so win a ring without Kobe; he has Wade

^LoL! i wounder why every PG or SG feeds off of Shaq lol. Wow

I believe Nash signed in PHX as a free agent.
Mon Jun 05, 2006 10:40 am
i believe that is true. i remember he was named in trade talks with the lakers for shaq but i believe those were going to be sign and trade deals.
Mon Jun 05, 2006 10:50 am
Weither traded or not still is a mistake to let go of such a talented player.
Mon Jun 05, 2006 11:01 am
Not really, the Mavericks have improved since he left. Now they're 4 wins away from an NBA championship.. which is further than they ever got with Nash.

Nash was a restricted free agent. Cuban was offering him 40-45 million or something, then Coangelo offered him 60-whatever. Nash told Cube the number and asked if he would match, Cubes said he couldn't, and Nash is now in Phoenix.

Yes, he is suspecting that they are gay.
That's the second time I interpreted a 'stating the obvious' moment within 5 minutes

exactly, which is why i will always say that the pistons can get off the hook for drafting darko and not carmelo (honestly no chance they ever would have took wade). they took the title so all is well.

they aren't off the hook, if they drafted carmelo or wade it would be the tittle every year, including this year

Nash wasn't a restricted free agent when he signed with the Suns. He didn't have to tell Cuban that he was getting the offer, but he did anyways because he wanted to return to Dallas.

Well, his departure from Dallas, made Phoenix arise. Dallas moved on though and look where they've gotten.
Mon Jun 05, 2006 4:20 pm
I've been rooting for Dallas ever since the Spurs got eliminated. Don't know why though. I think it's because I don't like the other 3 teams and they're in Texas. Ironic how they're the ones that beat the Spurs

I don't really see how it's ironic.

I don't know how Carmelo, Wade or even Darko makes their bench better. Of course such statements aren't supposed to be analyzed are they...
The Pistons aren't off the hook for me either, if they had built a time machine, went back and time and got Wilt, Oscar and Petit from their primes to come off the bench, they would be in the Finals this year.

If you replaced Terry with Nash, you'ld see the Mavericks win the NBA championship in six games over Miami. However, since that isn't the case, you will see Dallas get shutdown in six games via Dwyane Wade and the Heat.

It's ironic that he favors Dallas instead of Miami to win the Finals, because he's a Spurs fan.

How does that work? With Nash they didn't even get this far to start.
