Howard, a former Heat player who now plays for the Houston Rockets
Howard never played for Miami...
I will never get why a multi-millionare would steal a pair of sunglasses. Unreal.
Fri May 12, 2006 11:06 am
i don't see why someone would need some sunglasses that costs $2000 in the first place when you could just get one or 100 other ones for twenty bucks.

He could just send a person there with a webcam so he could see from his bathroom which sunglasses are nice and ask the person to buy it...

Can't blame him, I've heard that children love the taste of sunglasses...

Keen eye, I completely missed that. He did of course sign with the Heat in 1996 but the NBA ruled that the Heat had actually violated salary cap rules in trying to sign both Howard and Mourning to $100 million deals and Howard's contract became null and void. He ended up re-signing with the Bullets but Mourning's contract still stood.
Perhaps they were referencing that situation but mixed up the details.
